Hardrock 100 comes quickly after Western States perhaps hiding in a shadow it prefers. More than any other ultramarathon, Hardrock is about the runner. Other notable races have to navigate a lot of pomp and circumstance, but this one focuses on getting 145 runner around the loop to kiss the rock.
