Why do we find it hard to act on some thoughts but easy to act on others? Why can't we put our mind to something and just do it? Well, it turns out that our brains have a set of requirements to turn our thoughts into actions.
Luca Dellanna brings a whole new perspective to actionability, describing why we might procrastinate, make excuses or be lazy.
The book is split into 3 volumes, the first being ‘The Nature of Action’ followed by ‘The Nature of Perception’ and finally ‘Emergent Behaviours,’ giving us a great understanding of human behaviour at its core.
He describes ‘The Control Heuristic’ as a process of taking specific actions that bring us closer to survival. However, the interesting part is that this is not in accordance with our own environment but that of our ancestors.
