My Immortal, published serially on fanfiction.net between 2006 and 2007, is a gothic re-imagining of the Harry Potter universe. The presumably pseudonymous author, XXXbloodyrists666XXX, ignored constraints such as keeping the story canon-friendly, plot continuity, spelling and 'why is Snape a paedophile now?' to deliver an unhinged haunted-house ride of fanfiction.
Satire? A time-capsule from the mid-2000s? A Mossad/RGB psyop? Who knows?
