In this week’s Big BOAT Interview, Lucy Dunn sits down with Richard Wiese, president emeritus of The Explorers Club, who has made travelling the world his life and career. Exploration is less about testosterone-fuelled expeditions, he says, and more about experiencing different cultures (and food). Taking risk is par for the course, and he pays respects to fellow explorer and good friend Hamish Harding, who died in the Titan tragedy.
