De verhoging van de kansspelbelasting per 1 januari 2025 van 30,5 procent naar 34,2 procent heeft niet geleid tot hogere overheidsinkomsten, concludeert de De Kansspelautoriteit (Ksa). Spelers zijn weliswaar beter beschermd, maar ‘het doel van die kansspelbelastingverhoging om meer geld binnen te harken is dan wel mislukt’, aldus Michel Groothuizen, de voorzitter van de Raad van bestuur van de Kansspelautoriteit.
