J.D. Vance heeft in een speech voor de Republikeinse conventie in Milwaukee de nominatie van zijn partij voor het vicepresidentschap aanvaard. Oud-president Donald Trump kondigde maandag al op zijn sociaal medium Truth Social aan dat Vance zijn running mate wordt. ‘Hij stelde zich voor aan de Republikeinen en de Amerikanen’, zegt BNR’s Amerikacorrespondent Jan Postma vanuit Milwaukee.
