De Italiaanse bank UniCredit geeft zijn overnamestrijd toch op: het heeft geen interesse meer in de Italiaanse concurrent Banco BPM. Dat heeft de bank gemeld vlak voor de publicatie van de kwartaalcijfers eerder vandaag. Daarmee krijgt UniCredit de handen vrij voor een andere bank die ze graag willen inlijven.
