President Emmanuel Macron van Frankrijk heeft gisteren twee uur lang gesproken met de Russische president Poetin. Het was hun eerste gesprek in bijna drie jaar. Inhoudelijk kwam er nauwelijks iets uit het gesprek, maar de Russische propagandamachine noemt het een overwinning van Rusland, dat het Westen nu toch weer contact heeft gezocht.
