Het salaris voor rekruten uit Moskou die voor Rusland willen vechten in Oekraïne gaat fors omhoog. Rusland biedt aspirant-soldaten uit de Russische hoofdstad nu een bonus van 1,9 miljoen roebel, omgerekend ruim 20.000 euro. ‘Het zijn gigantische bedragen die daar tegenaan gegooid worden. Het zegt iets over de wanhoop dat men zo op zoek is naar mensen’, zegt oud-commandant der Landstrijdkrachten Mart de Kruif.
