Het rechts-radicale blok van het Europees Parlement, Patriots for Europe, komt vandaag en morgen bijeen in de Spaanse hoofdstad Madrid. Naast de Hongaarse leider Viktor Orbán is ook PVV-voorman Geert Wilders aanwezig, die zaterdag het congres zal toespreken. ‘Dit soort bijeenkomsten zijn vooral bedoeld om eenheid uit te stralen, het lijkt vooral op een vlaggenvertoon’, zegt Kemal Rijken, politicoloog en kenner van rechts-nationalistische, eurosceptische partijen.
