De Britse politie heeft de voormalige ambassadeur voor de Verenigde Staten Peter Mandelson op borgtocht vrijgelaten in afwachting van verder onderzoek. Dat meldt de Metropolitan Police in een verklaring, zo'n 9 uur na de arrestatie van Mandelson. VK-correspondent Lia van Bekhoven verwacht dat Mandelson in staat van beschuldiging gesteld gaat worden, ‘en dan gaat het circus pas echt beginnen.’
