In het Europees Parlement is opnieuw een fractie geformeerd aan de rechterflank van het politieke spectrum. Nadat de PVV al ging samenwerken met radicaalrechtse partijen als Fidesz en Vox in de partij Patriots for Europe, komt nu Alternative für Deutschland met de radicaal-rechtse fractie ‘Groep Europa van Soevereine Naties (ENS). De invloed van deze rechtse fracties is gering, denkt politiek journalist Chris Aalberts. ‘Dit zijn de minst relevante clubjes.’
