De Eindhovense chipfabrikant NXP, met een beursnotering in New York, zag in het afgelopen kwartaal zowel de winst als de omzet fors teruglopen. De nettowinst daalde met 32 procent tot 445 miljoen dollar, omgerekend 384 miljoen euro. De omzet bedroeg in het tweede kwartaal 2,9 miljard dollar, 6 procent minder dan in dezelfde periode vorig jaar.
