De Britse Labour-regering gaat een begin maken met de nationalisatie van het spoor. Het gaat om drie spoorwegmaatschappijen die volgend jaar in publieke handen zullen worden gebracht. 'Het huidige spoornetwerk, sinds de jaren '90 geprivatiseerd, is versnipperd, duur en de vertragingen zijn een lachertje,' zegt correspondent Lia van Bekhoven.
