Macron is vandaag op bezoek in Egypte. Zijn bezoek staat in het teken van de oorlog in Gaza, maar volgens Europa-correspondent Stefan de Vries is Macron niet alleen in Egypte om vrede te brengen. Zo stelt hij: ‘Zijn bezoek draait om veel meer dan Gaza. Frankrijk ziet zichzelf als de brug tussen Europa en de Arabische wereld.’
