In de aanloop naar de behandeling van het belastingplan van 2026 blijft de discussie over autobelastingen een heet hangijzer. De verlaging van brandstofaccijns en de bijtelling voor elektrische auto’s zorgen al langer voor spanningen. Kamerlid Pieter Grinwis (ChristenUnie), die onlangs de ‘Belastingbetalersbokaal 2025’ ontving voor zijn inzet voor de belastingbetaler, is kritisch: ‘Dit kabinet zadelt het volgende kabinet op met een probleem, en de automobilist uiteindelijk ook.’
