Microsoft heeft ingegrepen in de toegang van het Israëlisch leger tot zijn clouddiensten. Israël bleek jarenlang miljarden telefoongesprekken van Palestijnse burgers in Gaza te hebben afgeluisterd en opgeslagen op cloudservers van Microsoft. Dat kwam aan het licht na onderzoek van de Britse krant The Guardian, waarna Microsoft ingreep. Saillant detail: de 8000 terabyte stond opgeslagen op servers in Nederland.
