De Nederlandse economie groeide in het tweede kwartaal met 1 procent ten opzichte van het voorgaande kwartaal. Dat meldt het Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek (CBS) op basis van een voorlopige raming. Daarmee ontloopt ons land een recessie, waarvan sprake is bij twee opeenvolgende kwartalen van krimp. In de eerste drie maanden van dit jaar kromp de economie onverwacht met 0,5 procent.
