De VVD wil dat Nederland minder aantrekkelijk wordt voor arbeidsmigranten. Daarnaast moeten bedrijven meer inzetten op innovatie en robotisering. Tesseltje de Lange, hoogleraar Europees migratierecht aan de Radboud Universiteit, is blij dat de VVD in oplossingen probeert te denken. ‘In de afgelopen tien jaar is de partij vooral onderdeel van het probleem geweest.’
