Hongarije heeft jarenlang de Europese Instituties bespioneerd door mensen van de inlichtingendienst te vermommen als diplomaten. Daarom eist het Europees Parlement nu maatregelen, daarover gaan de Europarlementariërs vandaag in debat. Tineke Strik, Europarlementariër voor GroenLinks-PvdA, legt uit dat het niet mogelijk is om Hongarije uit de EU zetten. ‘Maar wat we wel kunnen doen, is verder de duimschroeven aandraaien’.
