Alle aandacht is vandaag gevestigd op het Midden-Oosten waar wereldleiders zich op dit moment verzamelen in het Egyptische Sharm-el-Sheikh op de top over de toekomst van Gaza. De leider van de Palestijnse Autoriteit, Mahmoud Abbas, is aanwezig op de top en ook de Israëlische premier Benjamin Netanyahu is er toch bij. Het Amerikaanse twintigpuntenplan dat een einde moet maken aan de oorlog en de wederopbouw van Gaza staan centraal op de top.
