Vanaf 1 december krijgt de Europese Unie voor het eerst een Eurocommissaris speciaal voor start-ups, onderzoek en innovatie. Het is aan de Bulgaarse Ekaterina Zaharieva om private partijen meer te laten investeren in ‘strategische en baanbrekende technologieën’ en Europese start-ups. Hoe Zaharieva dat precies van plan is, is nu nog onduidelijk, zegt Lucien Burm, voorzitter van de Dutch Startup Association.
