De Europese Unie verlengt haar pauze op tegenmaatregelen tegen Amerikaanse producten, nadat president Trump dit weekend aankondigde per 1 augustus een importheffing van 30 procent op Europese goederen in te voeren. Volgens Bart Groothuis, Europarlementariër voor de VVD, een goed besluit. ‘Escaleren is op dit moment het domste wat we kunnen doen.’
