Waar Citigroup eerder nog terughoudend was in haar prognoses, daar voorspelt de Amerikaanse bank nu dat de goudprijs dit jaar nieuwe records zal breken. Daarmee sluit ze zich aan bij onder meer Goldman Sachs. Ook Paul Buitink, directeur van Holland Gold, verwacht een verdere stijging: 'Ik denk dat 100.000 euro per kilo dit jaar haalbaar is'.
