Twee nagenoeg identieke schilderijen die jarenlang zijn toegeschreven aan de Vlaamse meester Jan van Eyck, blijken niet authentiek. Het gaat om ‘Franciscus van Assisi ontvangt de stigmata’, te zien in het Philadelphia Museum of Art en in de Musei Reali in Turijn. Dat meldt de Britse krant The Guardian.
