No institution is "THE Church". Not catholicism, not mormonism, not even Southern Baptist, IFB, Methodist, Lutheran, Pentecostal, etc. These are are names of an institution, or an unbiblical association with a man ie. Martin Luther, the pope, etc. The true church needs no building. They themselves are the temple of the living God. (1 Corinthians 3:16–17, 1 Peter 2:5) They need no professional clergy lording over them. The Holy Spirit is their teacher, guide, and comforter. (1 John 2:27, John 16:13, John 14:26) They need no worship leader. They worship God in spirit and in truth all of their lives, and NOT JUST in a religious service. (John 4:23) Jesus warned that MANY people who attend AND lead these institutional systems are still in their sins and going to hell. (Matthew 7: 21-23) Salvation does not come from being "in church". Salvation comes from being IN CHRIST !! Therefore if any man be IN CHRIST, he is a new creation.
