His music, Madrid, beers with Jurgen Klopp – this is a must-listen with singer-songwriter Jamie Webster, whose version of Allez Allez Allez has been the soundtrack to Liverpool’s march to glory. Jamie popped into the Liverpool ECHO’s studio on Wednesday to speak to Paul Wheelock about his new single Living for Yesterday, the success of his debut release Weekend in Paradise, rubbing shoulders with his musical heroes like John Power, and the brilliant story about how he met his record-label boss. But as good as that story is, it doesn’t compare to Jamie’s memoirs of Madrid, as he recalls the emotion of playing the fan park to thousands of Reds, to dashing over to the Wanda Metropolitano for the Champions League final itself, and then playing the team’s official after-party, where he had a memorable encounter with Klopp. There’s more Klopp talk before Jamie reveals the details of a big hometown show, later this year.
