Manchester City have been banned from European club competitions for the next two seasons and fined 30m euros (£25m) – but what could this mean for Liverpool?

Kristian Walsh and Paul Wheelock discuss the ramifications of this huge breaking news, for both City and their great rivals Liverpool, and for both this season and next.

City, who like the Reds are in the last-16 of the Champions League, have been found to have committed ‘serious breaches’ of financial regulations by UEFA.

The Etihad Stadium outfit, managed by Pep Guardiola, have confirmed they will appeal against the decision.

City are currently 22 points behind Liverpool at the top of the Premier League after winning the title for the past two seasons. For information regarding your data privacy, visit acast.com/privacy
