Should the Charlotte Hornets Hire Monty Williams? Monty Williams was recently fired by the Phoenix Suns but it does not necessarily mean he is a bad coach. The Charlotte Hornets are not exactly in the search for a head coach but I don't think you can pass up a chance to go after Monty Williams. When he was hired by the Suns, the Suns were almost in the same position as the Charlotte Hornets in terms of a young team with some talent but are one all-star caliber player away from being consistently in the playoffs.
