In May 1911, 27 year old Laura Nelson and her son L.D. who was 14 years old at the time were both lynched after an angry mob drug them from their cells after they were charged with murder when the local deputy sheriff was accidentally shot and killed.
We are releasing four bonus minisodes in honor of Black History Month about four women killed between 1911 and 1969. No one was ever held accountable for their deaths, so we are honoring them by telling their stories.
