Having worked for the U.S Department of Defense in 2008, and being deployed in countries in the Middle East and Africa, to falling in love with a British man on deployment, to bouncing around countless jobs on her return back home…
... Julia’s life flipped on its head when her boss asked her to make something work on the company’s website, and once she did it in less than 5 minutes, it sparked an idea in her head for her next move.
And since then, Julia has started GeekPack, a company to empower women to learn tech skills in order to get a job or a promotion, increase their salary or even start their own business.
GeekPack has now helped more than 5,000 women to develop their careers and to develop skills they are passionate about.
In today’s episode, Julia is going to share with us what she has learned in the process, her highs and lows of being an entrepreneur, and what she wishes she knew when she started out!
