XRPs Quantum-Resistant Design: A Safer Bet Than Bitcoin?
XRPs smarter design on the XRP Ledger makes it less vulnerable to future quantum computer attacks than Bitcoin. The key difference lies in how public keys are revealed during transactions, with XRP exposing a much smaller chunk of its supply.
A recent audit found three hundred thousand accounts holding two point four billion XRP that have never sent any funds, keeping their public keys hidden and quantum-safe. XRPLs built-in tools like key rotation and escrow time-locks further enhance its security.
In contrast, Bitcoins early pay-to-public-key outputs expose keys upfront, leaving eleven to thirty-seven percent of its supply vulnerable. While both XRP and Bitcoin are looking into quantum-resistant upgrades, XRPs current features give it a solid edge.
