Nakamotos Bitcoin Sale: A Potential Contagion in Digital Asset Treasuries
Nakamoto, a Bitcoin treasury company, recently sold off some of its Bitcoin holdings at a loss, sparking concerns of a wave of forced selling across digital asset treasuries. Market watcher Nic Puckrin predicts Bitcoin may drop to between $55,758 and $58,200, creating a vicious cycle of sales. Nakamotos SEC filing shows a $166.1 million loss in the fourth quarter, valuing its 5,342 Bitcoin at $467.5 million at the end of 2025. Meanwhile, Marathon Digital also offloaded Bitcoin in March, but insists its a short-term play. The pressure on treasuries shows no signs of easing.
