UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, has surged to become the fifth largest hospital in the U.S., according to Beckers Hospital Review. The hospital, a flagship of the University of Alabama at Birmingham Health System, has seen significant growth, including a new $156.7 million inpatient rehabilitation pavilion.
