Show Notes

Millions of Americans may be eligible for IRS refunds due to a recent court ruling. The U.S. Court of Federal Claims decided that the IRS couldnt charge underpayment interest or penalties until 60 days after a disaster period, like the COVID emergency. This extends the tax deadline for 2019-2022 filings to July 10, 2023. Taxpayers charged between January 20, 2020, and July 10, 2023, should review their records. Claims must be filed by July 10, 2026, using Form 843.
