Major Alex Klinners remains return to Birmingham for a private ceremony on March 28, 2026, hosted by the one hundred seventeenth Air Refueling Wing and the ninety-ninth Air Refueling Squadron. The event is closed to the public, but family, friends, and fellow airmen from various wings will attend. The Maxwell Air Force Base Honor Guard will conduct the transfer with full honors. After the ceremony, Major Klinners remains will be taken to Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville, Alabama, for his funeral service. Communities around Birmingham are honoring his legacy as final arrangements are made.
