The University of Alabama at Birmingham ONeal Comprehensive Cancer Center and the City of Birmingham are hosting their third annual Regional Wellness Day this Saturday, April eighteenth, from ten a.m. to two p.m. at the Birmingham CrossPlex. The event offers free health screenings, including biometric checks, prostate blood work, clinical breast exams, and quick assessments for lung and colorectal cancers, open to everyone eligible by age, insurance or not. The event also provides information on social support, economic aid, education, and more. On-site professionals from UAB Medicine, Cooper Green Mercy Health, and Alabama Regional Medical Services will assist with enrollment and paperwork.
