Alabama Governor Kay Ivey ordered flags to half-staff to honor three airmen from the one hundred seventeenth Air Refueling Wing who died in a KC-one thirty-five Stratotanker crash in Iraq. Major John Alex Klinner, Captain Ariana Savino, and Technical Sergeant Ashley Pruitt, all from different states, served in the wings ninety-ninth Air Refueling Squadron. They were supporting Operation Epic Fury and had deployed just days earlier. The community is grieving, and support continues for their families.
