Governor Kay Ivey orders flags to half-staff for three airmen from Birmingham Air National Guard base who died in Iraq crash. Major John Alex Klinner, Tech Sergeant Ashley Pruitt, and Captain Ariana Savino were killed in Operation Epic Fury. Klinner, a Trussville resident and Auburn grad, leaves behind wife and three children. Pruitt, from Kentucky, is survived by husband, daughter, and stepson. Savino, a Central Washington University grad, is remembered by family planning scholarship fund for women and Latino youth.
