The Vivisection Epidemic

Viv·i·sec·tion: the practice of performing operations on live animals for the purpose of experimentation. Since the late 1800's there has been a strong moral protest against surgeries targeting healthy tissue of living animals. It was known as the anti-vivisectionist movement, and was in large part responsible for organizations like the SPCA and laws against animal cruelty. Ask a progressive if they are opposed to surgically dissecting living animals and they will be appalled. Apparently, however, when the test subjects are teenage girls then that is to be CELEBRATED.
