What a heartbreak of a weekend for the boys. Sitting there with a Hideki Matsuyama winning ticket while holding a 1 shot lead on the 18th tee seemed like a winner. Hideki made his first back nine bogey on the 72nd hole to send the tournament to a playoff with Chris Gotterup who birdied 5 of the last 6 to put himself in position. Gotterup would go on to birdie the playoff hole to win for the 2nd time in only 3 starts of 2026. Patrick Reed has all but sealed up his 2027 PGA Tour Card by way of the DP World Tour. He won his 2nd event of 2026 at the Qatar Masters by 2 shots over Calum Hill
