Rory Mcilroy got back into the winners circle this past week at the Scottish Open for the first time since October of 2022. After leaving a make-able birdie putt on the 16th hole to the low side, he trailed the hometown Scotsman Robert MacIntyre by 1 shot heading into the final 2 holes. After knocking in the birdie on 17 he was faced with a 210 yard approach to the 18th- the toughest hole on the PGA Tour and a hole that had only been birdied twice during the entire round. He knocked his 2 iron to 10 feet and sunk the putt for his 37th career professional win. The 105th PGA Championship was played at Oak Hill CC in Rochester, New York and it did not disappoint. The course proved a tough test as only 9 players were under par for the week and +5 made the cut.
