We are joined today by special guest Dr. Howard Eyrich for part 2 of an interview with the biblical counseling pioneer. Today's discussion will cover the International Association of Biblical Counselors (IABC) Conference which is scheduled for August 1st-3rd, 2019 in St. Louis, Missouri. The theme this year is HOPE.
Dr. Eyrich and other board members chose this year's theme of HOPE for several different reasons. First, because many members of the board, including Dr. Eyrich, were working through difficult issues in the organization, dealing with the daily work as a biblical counselors, and countering people who were dealing with difficult times in their lives.
This is the theme of Apostle Peter riding to his flock in a great time of persecution. This year's conference is a reiteration of this wondrous hope and the sharing of tools that the counselor can use to help the counselee implement this Hope in various dimensions of their lives to develop godly patterns in their lives, day by day.
