There are two aspects to the abomination:
First: there is the abominating presence of the man of lawlessness who takes his seat in the temple of God.
Second: there is the abomination of an idol image, or images, that are put in the Holy place.
In both cases God's name will be blasphemed and Satan will attempt to usurp the authority and power of the Godhead on the earth.
