A Weekend To Remember & A Weekend To Forget
EWe came we saw and we left Spa with memories that would last a lifetime. This week the collective F1 world put its arms around each other as we raced for Anotine. This week the boys reflect upon the weekend that was Spa. Charles officially arrived in F1 with a gritty win, while Norris arrived a lap short gritting his teeth, Max took a trip down memory lane as he collected the Ice Man and Albon showed us why he could very well be the right bull in the pen. As always we dive into news, race reviews, race rankings, fan questions. dud of the day and we slot our first coin into the driver merry-go-round as the silly season for seats hits second gear. All that plus much much more on this weeks ep of BTRL
Breaking the Mid Season Break
EIt's the mid season break, but the boys are hard at it. Well sort of.... Actually we have some concerns. Wattsy has taken up bird watching by the fire and Tristan has been spending some quality time with his cat, and only his cat. In this sanity saving episode, the boys unpack the Redbull meat grinder discuss the new regulation sneak peaks and all the news. They also line up all the team mates and pick their winners to this points. Roger (not ours) gets his questions answered and they enjoy a bit of self promotion. Bring on Spa! Please bring on Spa....
Hungary For More
ETOOLS DOWN! Yes its summer shutdown once again for the F1 circus but not before we are treated to yet another thriller. This time the hunter caught the lion as Hamilton and Mercedes pulled off the strategy of a lifetime to snatch the win from the jaws of the Dutch Lion. This week we theorize, hypothesize, ponder, wonder and ponder all of the possibilities that was the Budapest GP. Race review, driver rankings, fantasy fans questions and keep an ear out for our new segment idea, if you hear it we want to know your thoughts, all that plus much much more (except our summer plans, because its winter here) on this weeks episode of BTRL.
Heartbreak and Heros in Hockenheim
EAs the saying goes, "The Rain in Spain falls mainly on....well Hockenheim!" Yes it's race weekend. Grab your floaties, fire up the tinnie and break out the paddle boards we have a wet one! If ever there was going to be a swan song for a track, Hockenheim takes gold silver and bronze. The best of the best took to the track and it was Max who is now the unofficial rain master of Formula 1, who took it home ahead of a fast finishing Vettel. But is was the Torpedo who stole the show, true to his name and delivered Toro Rosso just their second podium. Among the carnage one thing is for certain, the Bulls like it wet. This week we go driver by driver and unpack each and every performance, we look at race rankings, fantasy, driver rumors and find out what emoji is the boys go to. Is it the splashing whale? Only time will tell. All that plus much much more on this weeks episode of BTRL.
Fit For A King
EWarm up your beers, serve up the bangers and mash and brush off those doilies, its Silverstone week. Its was battles, battles and more battles as fans were treated to the most action packed and exciting racing this year. This week we look at Bottas 2.0, he was back and man were those elbows out. We chat Max V Charles, like Arnie in the terminator, have we seen a glimpse of the future? We delve deep into Twitter land and find out if the work experience kids are running Rich Energies account and what's eating Seb? All that plus news, driver rankings, dud of the day, news and fantasy. Its your weekly serve of BTRL.
Max-imum Attack
EIt was a a case of all hands on deck in Austria as Charles applied chest compression's and Max breathed the vital breaths that brought F1 back from the dead. With more drama than an episode of Grey's Anatomy our elite professionals got to work and F1 is on the road to recovery. From FP2 to race day we were treated with what is so far the race of the year. This week the boys look at Max and his barnstorming win, shed a tear for Charles as he was left at the alter for the second time and admired Lando Norris and his insane ability to create high quality Instagram posts while shoving his elbows out against a 5 time world champion. All that plus a full race review, driver ratings, dud of the day, fantasy and we find out what type of sandwich soothes our soul on a race day run to the pantry.
Papaya Power
EPenalties, penalties and more penalties. Yes they were flying left right and center this week and no-one was safe. Ricciardo tried to race and was hit with two 5 second penalties. Perez did the right thing and was hit with a 5 second penalty. Vettel was still seething, from last weeks penalty and the fans turned up to watch the sport they love the most and were hit with a 2hr penalty. Not sure who's reviewing that one. Yes like a stale croissant that has been left in the back of the pantry the French GP was the one that you regret you watched. However we have got you covered. This week we dive into the rule book and try to make sense of it all as fans, we ask is the sport dying and who is going to give it CPR? We investigate where the McLaren form came from, ask is Dan really back, begin our first driver merry-go-round predictions of 2019 and give you an insight into exactly what type of potato we love the most. All that plus much much more on this weeks episode of BTRL.
The Great Canadian Heist
EYes it's PODCAST NIGHT and it's a crime wave. The boys put their detective hats on as we tackle the theft of the Ferrari win, prime suspect FIA! But that's not the only crime. Ricciardo steals our hearts as he qualifies 4th, Magnussen steals Verstappens Q3 appearance, fire steals Norris's suspension and Stroll steals a point, yes that's not a typo. But the big question is did he steal Tristans heart......No, he didn't. As always we dive into news, race reviews, driver of the day, dud of the day and fantasy. All that plus much more on this crime busting episode of BTRL.
Danke Niki
EMonaco has been run and won and as always the debate rages. Was Hamilton's pool splash as good as Ricciardo? Yes the boys are back this week for another installment of BTRL. This week we look at all the happenings, glitz, glamour champagne and canape Monaco had to offer. But in a somber way we celebrate as the F1 world mourns the passing of Niki Lauder. It's news, gossip, fantasy f1, race reviews, race rankings, fan questions and dud of the day as we join the F1 community in saying Danke Niki.
Spanish Siesta
EIt's lights OFF and away we go...to sleep! Yes that right race fans the Spanish GP was run and won but hell we have no idea what went on because let's be honest we all fell asleep. However don't despair this won't stop us from diving headfirst into discussion as we unpack the bit at the start, that one crash that was kinda like a half spin and the bit where they all finished and 3 got trophies. THRILLING PODCASTING WE KNOW! All this plus race rankings, dud of the day, fantasy, new, gossip and find out who we think can throw a tennis ball the furthest. Yeah it's been one of those weekends. It's your weekly edition of BTRL! #F1
Always Check Your Mirrors
EThe castle walls shook as we headed back to Baku with a bang. But just like a Datsun 180B on a cold winter morning Sunday misfired. This week we talk all things Azerbaijan. We unpack the on an off and on and off and on and then finally off Quali session, talk Tec, tyres and temps, drool at the prospect of Bottas 2.0, and ask is season 2019 really over. All that plus one of the most sideways opening questions ever and watch for the cheeky Alonso mention. Can we get through and ep without him coming up! Ugh. All that and more on this week's show.

Torpedoes Away
EWell it was 1000thish race, and what a FLOP. We saw one of he more boring F1 races we will care to see, but their was still loads to discuss. The boys do just that as they always do. Sit back to what should hopefully be a more entertaining time than the 1000thish GP.
Disaster in the Desert
EIt was hot in the desert but it gets even hotter on the latest episode of Beyond the Racing Line, when Roger and Tristan go head to head on a range of matters lead by Lewis Hamilton of all things. The guys review what was an unbelievable race and break down some of the bigger moments before delivering their race rankings. Tristan updates the team on their fantasy performances (much to Roger's displeasure) and Wattsy sits back and enjoys the show while adding his two bob worth. All this and more on Beyond the Racing Line - The Formula 1 Podcast that tells it how it is.
Australians in Australia, Meh...
EAussie drivers don't seem to have any lucky in their home race and this was certainly no change to that. Some bloke needs to get on to his lawn mower and ensure the grass is shorter next year. In this episode, the boys run their usual race review, continue talking about their surreal weekend and touch on all the major topics coming from the weekend.
Grazing in the Paddock (day 1 2019)

EWELCOME TO SEASON 2019. Yes that's right the boys are back for another action packed year and so what better way than to kick off in style with a reunion episode. This week we take a little more of a casual approach, if that was even possible, and chat all things F1. Tristan does his very best to explain what Formula E is, Justin talks about things and holidays, Roger practices his new and improved host voice and we get geared up for the season ahead. As always there is news, gossip, mini predictions and much much more. IT'S MICS ON AND AWAY WE GO!
Farewell Donuts
EWell it's that time of the year where we say farewell to the season the that delivered so much joy for us and you! It's business as usual for the boys this week but what is most important is that we say thank you to each and every one of you who make this possible, because without you, the listeners, and the down loaders (all 20,000) we simply wouldn't be 3 guys in a pub loving our sport! Don't worry though we have more eps including our BTRL awards, driver and team rating specials and keep an eye out for the Christmas Episode for the first time! So until next week as J says, "keep it rubber side down"!
Gloves Are Off - Brazilian GP Review

Whats the Point - Mexican GP Review
EIT'S ALL OVER! No we haven't drummed up the courage to sack Roger due to his table decorating opening question, the championship is over! Yes Lewis makes it 5 even though its kinda a week too late! This week Tristan is on the mend and thankfully making more sense, J does his best RedBull engine impression and blows up over Dan's blowups, Roger explains why he would fight 12 chicken sized horses over 1 horse size chicken and we all ponder why the Mexican Anthem goes for so long. All that plus a race review, driver rankings, news, gossip and a full run down of fan questions.
Winner Winner Kimi Dinner
EMan flu has struck and brought our man Tristan down, but the wait is over and the boys are back. This episode has everything you need and love, a good solid disagreement, some of the most outrageous theories you'll hear, a race review and a race preview. The boys load up some love for Kimi and Roger expresses exactly how disappointed he is in Seb's and Ferrari's second half of the season. If this wasn't enough, we also have a recipes to get you through your weekend.
Knockout Blow
EThe Japanese GP has been run and won and we just witnessed the slow and painful death of the of the 2018 Ferrari championship challenge. It was a great race with plenty to talk about. Catch it all right here.
Questions from Russia
We are taking the questions from our wonderful listeners to a whole new level by giving them an episode all to it's self. Have a listen and let us know what you think of the new format.
No Winners
ESometimes you win, sometimes you lose. This time we all lose. It was a Formula 1 weekend that lacked in so many ways, but it did give us loads to talk about, and while Roger fears Formula 1 is broken, all is not lost. We have some solutions. Hear what the boys thought about the race weekend, how to fix qualifying, the grid penalty debacle and team orders. Roger and Tristan make their predictions for the Formula B championship and look at the development race between Renault and Toro Rosso. Singabore
ESINGAPORE IS DONE AND DUSTED! The lights went out and boy did we, ummm, see, ahhhh....yeah some really great, ahhh cars, that ahh did some real fast laps, and ahh oh yeah they changed tyres a couple of times, oh and did you know they gave out 3 trophies, madness!! They sure know how to throw a GP......did I leave the dishwasher on? Yes that's right the longest race was the biggest flop of the year, but don't worry we had plenty to talk about. This week we unpack all the talking points of the Singapore GP, take a deeper look at the driver swaps, try and figure out what was eating Perez, for the first time mention Sirotkin and his fighting drive, try to re home Ocon and discuss if Ferrari are no longer the "IT" team of Formula 1? Also keep a listen out for our live facebook feed during our recording, if you were talking to us you might just hear your thoughts on the air! All that and more in this weeks.....zzzzzzzzz.
Haters Gunna Hate!
EIt's podcast time! And the boys are fired up just like the Scuderia, as we deliver our most passionate podcast of the year. You won't be disappointed! This week we discuss the race that WAS. It WAS suppose to be won by Seb, Kimi WAS supposed to complete a fairy tale 100th podium, Williams WAS supposed to start from the back, but it WAS Lewis who got the job done as the championship took a critical turn. Along with this we cover live breaking news from McLaren, ask where to for the Force India boys, complete a race review, look ahead to Singapore and answer our much loved fan questions! SPA-NAGE!
The summer break is over, and so was the race for many! Yes we are back and if the summer break wasn't hectic enough for you then don't worry turn 1 has you covered! Hulk went smash, Alonso went crash, LeClerc gave the Sauber a new brown paint job and the rest of the midfield realised they should have taken an extra day to sober up from their holiday bevs as the revs went up a notch and we collided into the 2nd half of 2018. This week we look at the carnage from spa, dive in-depth into the Force India rise and fall and rise again, race review, fantasy GP, fan questions and much much much more. Far out, is it time for another break? Come join the boys for a gridlocked episode of Beyond the Racing Line!
The Alonso Farewell Tour
EWe're back online, F1 is back on track, the podcast is back on the air and you're back in the audience. But the F1 world isn't feeling our love. Alonso has left McLaren, Dan has left Redbull, Gasly has left Torro Rosso and all efforts to predict the driver market are out the window. This week we jump aboard the merry-go-round and share thoughts on who is going where, we touch on news, finish part 2 of our mid season review, answer fan questions, make a prediction for Spa and continue to do what we do best, find out the dictionary meaning of a back flip agree, disagree, agree again, disagree about our agreement and wrap up all of the madness that has been one of the most hectic F1 breaks ever! Welcome back fans we missed you!
From the Shed in the Storm
EWe are half way through the mid-season break and Wattsy has cabin fever. So we thought it was best we celebrate his birthday with a few beers and some Formula 1 talk from our favourite man cave, 'The Shed'. The Boys reflect on a weeks worth on mental processing on the big announcement from Our Man Dan and we have a chat about the Force India take over. The episode is finished with part 1 of the mid-season review and plenty of banter throughout.
Ricciardo to Renault
ENo one really saw this coming, or did they? Wattsy and Roger get together to discuss the move of the season and a move which may well define Our Man Dan's career?
Wet and Wild Master Class
EBreak time! No it's not the Tuesday afternoon tea and bikkies break while you throw banter at your workmates around the watercooler. It's the summer break. So while we freeze in the rain and -1° temps in the land downunder we left the weekend feeling hot. Dan was hot, Lewis was hot (in the wet) Max's engine got too hot, then his temper got to hot, Bottas's tyres got too hot, Sebs pressure to perform got hot and all the while Kimi in his natural Ice Man ways was the only man who kept his cool. This week we discuss the weekend gone, we talk Renault and Redbull, the Force India buy out and plan our 4 weeks off...all that and much much more as we say cheers to the first half of season 2018.

Love Conquers All
ELOVE CONQUERS ALL! Well no one told us that! Geez, maybe we should start hugging it out to end every episode. Yes the boys are back for another week. Just like the German GP we were flying this week and then the coffee left our system and for no apparent reason we lost it, we called Seb for advice but he was Grazzi Riggazzi (that's German for missing in action.....we think) This week we take a review of the most unusual race of the year. Roger does his very best to now unconvince himself that Kimi is leaving, Justin left the cooker off and conveniently "forgot" to bring the heat on Hulkenberg and Tristan shares his love of reading and what clearly seems to be wayyyy too much free time and limited social life as he unpacks some of the FIA F1 regulations for those not in the know. All that plus news, driver ratings, fan questions, prizes and much much more on our 54th episode of Beyond The Racing Line.
Sign On The Dotted Line
EThe boys are in the shed again, and have to endure an Aussie winter rain shower, but all is good because Wattsy is back from his early mid season break. With contracts being signed all around us, the boys take a close look at who they expect to be steering the Formula 1 Cars in season 2019. Wattsy worryingly states his support for Hartley and Sirotkin, while wanting to turn the heat on the Tristan's man, 'The Hulk'. The boys also have a chat about the up coming German Grand Prix and give their race predictions.
Under Pressure
EWhat a weekend it was. We are back this week as we run an ice bath over the British GP. Just like Hartley on Sunday, Justin couldn't make it out so he will join his man in the New Zealand paddocks herding sheep and enjoying an nice serving of fush and chups. Pressure, pressure and more pressure. This week posed more questions than answers, but that didn't stop us having an opinion. Everywhere you look someone is under the pump. We take a look at the weekend that was, and seriously question the media for the first time. We attempt to break up the school yard fight between Ferrari and Mercedes and get our glasses out to find where the 80 horsepower in the Redbull has gone? Roger gives his insight into the need for a full time steward, we talk about what lies ahead for Grosjean, take a peek and who's still in with a fighting chance for the title, and kiss goodbye the triple header. All that plus listener questions, fantasy GP and announce our competition winner on this weeks podcast from Beyond The Racing Line.
Taming the Redbull Ring
EJust like last nights race we lost a driver, yes J is a DNF this week as he treks off on assignment to eat Fush and Cups, chase sheep and search for the birthplace of Brendan Hartley. SPOILER ALERT, he hasn't found it! But hey who knows, the fush and chups might be worth it! This week we take a full race review of one of the strangest races of the year. Roger takes the blow torch off Max and begins to burn a hole into Kimi, but will he melt the Iceman that easily? We also discuss what went wrong with the Merc upgrade, what went wrong with Dan, what went wrong with Hulkenberg, what went wrong with the strategy at Merc and what the hell is wrong with the way Williams people dress? So join us for this surprisingly upbeat and positive podcast episode!
Vive La France
EWe start the triple header with a beauty and the boys can't wait to cover it from start to finish. They also manage a bit of 2019 driver speculation, sack everyone possible at Williams and McLaren and look at ahead to the Austrian GP this week. All this and more at your favourite Formula 1 Podcast.
The Redbull Honda Deal
EMINI PODCAST! Like that first shot of tequila on a Saturday night we have been smacked in the face with the news that Redbull will sign Honda for 2019 and 2020. However we have sobered up and found the strength to discuss the deal of the year. Get the boys thoughts and initial reactions as we all watch this space like the next taxi pulling into the rank!
If the Triple Crown Fits
EIt's go time and this week we take time out of the F1 break to bring you just what we all need....F1! It's LeMans week and Alonso has won! Don't worry though we have all your sticky and delicious Fernando goodness covered, and by we, we mean Tristan and by covered we mean the boys do their very best to limit his air time so that we don't have to endure another love fest this week. We know, we know, we hope he retires too, Tristan that is. In between that we talk all things Mclaren, is there any hope for the Papya power house or are they on the Williams path to nowhere, we look at what the new regulations will mean for the upcoming year, spread a few driver rumors, preview the French GP and Google what an SF19 car is...don't worry we didn't know either. So strap yourself in as we gear up for the back to back to back triple crown of our very own!
YOU HAD ONE JOB
EIt's the Canadian race review and can you believe that in a race with 0 action, 1 crash, everyone finishing where they started and a chequered flag that halted the race early, we still managed to find an hr of things to talk about! NEITHER CAN WE! This week we ask what the @#$%$ing hell is wrong with Williams? Is Kimi doing enough? Did Hamilton do enough? Are Liberty on the right path? Are Pirelli to blame for the lack of overtaking? Why does Justin still pay for Fantasy GP? Does Tristan actually know what that word is for when you go away and do stuff? And should Roger have every Monday off to be more organised in this podcast? All that and one very heated debate about Max wanting to headbutt people, this week at Beyond the Racing Line!
Redemption
EWell crikey bonza and throw another shrimp on the barbie the Aussie assassin has his redemption in Monaco. That's right folks we are back with another tip top you bewt episode and what a day to be an Aussie (although we are Aussies every day). This week we pump up Dan, tell you how great Dan is, mention all the great stuff about Dan, give Dan all the points in the Driver rankings, J proposes to Dan and in amongst that some other stuff about other drivers who wer......ah who are we kidding. We love Our Man Dan.
Back to Sunday Drives
EAfter a week of McLaren like technical like issues hitting the Beyond the Racing Line headquarters, they boys are back in their usual Monday night time slot. Justin is down with the dreaded and quite fatal man flu, Roger and Tristan are left to discuss the big talking points from Spain, whip around the news stories from the week and preview the 'Jewel in the F1 Crown' Monaco.
Buena Onda Catalunya
EIt's Spanish GP week. This week the boys put their very best Spanish accents to the test as we talk all things F1. We look at news and just like a Williams on a Sunday its slow going, we ride along the driver contract merry-go-round and we pour hot apple sauce all over the Miami track proposal, or as we have affectionately named it "The Porkchop". All that and much more this week!
Tears in the Caspian
EWell it's that time again. Like the 2 Redbulls the boys smash the weekend apart with their look at the major event of the week. This week we shed a tear for Bottas and Kimi, show 0 emotion towards Hamilton win, Tristan reminds us of his man chrush on Alonso, Roger attempts to say things correctly and J puts his $5 fantasygp.com subscription to good use. All that and much much much more in an action packed ep this week. #f1#podcast

Holy Testicle Tuesday
EOur man Dan has won the Chinese Grand Prix and the guys are excited to say the least. Max has a massive 'Dud of the Day' moment (or two) which the boys have a chat about along with the rest of the race, and to finished off this episode, Tristan introduces a new segment.
