The weekend saw us say goodbye (for now) to the likes of Bottas, Zhou, KMag amd Colapinto while other swapped team colours as a new ear waits to dawn. Who was the big winner and big loser or just plain unlucky in the market moves? It was penalty city once again, a sprinkling of strikes, and fans again left confused, surely its time to get this right over the off season. 2 of 3 in the Merica' triple header and boy oh boy were the elbows out. A Sainz win was one to savour as Norris too a big chunk of points to close the title race again. What a load of bull! Two #1s are better than none. Team Mclaren are flying and we suddenly have a possible four way title fight. Oscar is no mug, after a barrage of Brit beat downs last week, the Aussie shon in the Azerbaijan sun, hard to believe he has been at it for just on 18 months. The prince of Monaco becomes the King of Monza, a one stop for the ages, how can you not love a Ferrari win at home. Leclerc drove for the masses, a one stop roll of the dice that crowned him the king on Monza once again, a giant upgrade package and maybe, just maybe another twist in the tail of 2024. Williams, did good. Well kind of, points for Albon and Colapinto didn't disappoint, but let's just sit tight, you just don't know what Vowels might do next. A dynamite quali, Norris on pole, a lead stolen by Russell but yet again, Verstappen takes the win. It's a four way fight as we turn for Austria. The race of the season thus far, 5 in contention, a nee pole sitter for the year, rain, action a plenty and yet it was the cool head of Verstappen who did it again. The 0 had to go, finally Lando Norris is a race winner. McLaren are on a charge, and although the result for 81 didn't reflect the weekend make no mistake, we have a challenger ready and waiting. We went drifting in Suzuka as the Honda's were on show again in the RB20. A 1-2 and 636 days since anyone but Max led the championship. If 2024 had already been off to a frenetic start then the F1 world just went and threw up on itself once again. Lewis has left the building, yes the main man at Mercedes is fulfilling a life long dream and has joined Ferrari for 2025.
