Ep 502The Seasons Of Marriage (20 Years In!) - MTP502
Co-Host Emily McKay (https://www.deservewhatyouwant.com) Since our last episode together, Emily and I celebrated 20 years since we met. Over the course of two decades, we've realized there are seasons to a marriage. Now obviously, most couples would hope for an endless springtime rather than the winter of their discontent, but what we're talking about here isn't quite so literal. It's not just that things change both in the marriage and around you. That's inevitable in this life. It's not even about the evolution of the marriage, or the both of you over time, really. Rather, it's a definite smooth and perhaps even rhythmic flow from one major theme of your life together into another. Now, Emily and I met when we were in our mid- and late-thirties, respectively. For the benefit of those of you listening who might be younger, what seasons can younger couples expect? Is it all about being DINKS (or even DINKWADS)? What about the "Honeymoon Phase"? And the dreaded "Seven Year Itch"? Does Parenthood count as a season? As for us, we went through "travel season" and "youth sports season". What's next? We were still having kids at 40 and 45 years old, so we aren't "empty nesters" yet. What might that season look like? What about growing old together? What are some surprises that season might bring? There are now 67 retired episodes, featuring some of the OGs in the men's dating space. Ep 109Most Men Struggle With ONE Of The "Big Four" - SFTS109
===SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT=== Better men get better women. To be a better man, the "Big Four" is the standard. Once you're a "Big Four" man, you deserve what you want. Although there's always room for improvement, most men who listen to this show have three of the "Big Four" down pretty well. You're masculine, you like women and you're a man of good, solid character. But when "confronted" with an attractive woman we'd like to meet, talk to and get to know, we freeze up and "fail to deploy". What's up with that? Why is the CONFIDENCE part so difficult? I mean, without it, how are women ever going to know you represent the other three pillars of the "Big Four" as well? In this week's SFTS you'll not only get answers to why so many men struggle with the confidence part, you'll get practical solutions to fix the problem and make sure it never happens again. Did you know that VAMANOS is the everyday carry for "Big Four" men? Getchasum at https://vamanos.chat === HELP US SEND THE MESSAGE TO GREAT MEN EVERYWHERE === Snippets From The Summit are all about completely original ideas for success with women that also happen to be extremely effective...and actionable. Ep 501Mistakes In The First Three Months Of Dating - MTP501
Co-Host Sandra Myers (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/sandra) My first-time guest Sandra Myers is a matchmaker who heads up Select Date Society. In this fast-paced and often funny episode, we talk about how (and when) men and women tend to blow it in the first three months of dating each other. To kick things off, Sandra throws down how WAY too many people mess up within the first three MINUTES, or on the first date. Here's a hint: How many people do you know who love biographies? What are some other ways we as men all tend to sabotage any chances with a woman early on? Why does living in the past even in a present relationship have such damaging consequences? How does a "dry spell" over the past several months affect our mindset when getting into a new relationship? What's the trap that couples fall into on or shortly after the first date that instantly creates a bad habit that could doom the relationship later? What's the right level of "being mysterious" early on? I mean, where's the proper balance between oversharing and not sharing enough to make a connection? Is there a good reason to "test jealousy"...and if so, what does it look like? Where do we as men often sabotage any chance of real communication with a woman? Ep 108Eye Contact Problems - SFTS108
===SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT=== One of the most tired tips for men when it comes to telling if a woman is attracted is "she makes eye contact with you and smiles". Way too many of us as men have never seen that happen even once. It's no wonder we're so frustrated. But wait a second, could we be robbing ourselves of potential "moments" with women because we're avoiding eye contact with women to begin with? Why do so many of us as men do that? What could we be possibly afraid of? Well, the simple (and easy!) cure for this weird and devastating problem is contained in this brief episode. Ep 500What Is Wrong With Men And Women Nowadays? - MTP500
ECo-Host Steve "The Dean" Williams (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/dean) Well, here we are...finally all the way to episode #500. Massive respect and appreciation to all of you guys who've supported the show over the years, many since the very beginning back in 2007...when it was originally called The Chick Whisperer. The first guy I thought of to join me for this milestone episode was none other than Steve "The Dean" Williams, who co-hosted the first ten episodes with me BITD. And it's been too long, so the OGs got the band back together for one special show. Get your crayons out, gentlemen...we're about to chop up some game. And I figured nothing would launch us both into one of our patented rants than a topic like What's Wrong With Men And Women Nowadays? We get rolling by talking about what's changed over the last 19 years, and what's stayed the same. How have men been blown and tossed by whatever the "next new thing" is in dating and relationship advice? What has post-modern culture done to men's mindset regarding women? Are men really willing to forsake women nowadays at the risk of their name, bloodline and legacy? And wait a minute...are the redpilled "gurus" on YouTube the ones encouraging that empty end result? Why don't you hear about "toxic masculinity" in the media anymore? How can it be after all these years that most men still don't understand how women are wired sexually? What happens when "truth" become negotiable? Sure, we sound like a couple of "Uncs", but what if the new school really is the old school? OGs got your back. Ep 107Liquid Courage - SFTS107
===SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT=== You've heard the term. "Liquid courage" refers to slamming back a few alcoholic drinks before expecting to approach and meet women. It goes hand-in-hand with "night game" culture of meeting women in bars and clubs, doesn't it? There's no doubt that a little "social lubrication" to grease the skids and lower inhibition really can work. But there's also a good, solid reason why I strongly discourage alcohol consumption during Ten-Plus Live weekends with guys out in field. Ep 499Situationships Are Sinking Ships - MTP499
Co-Host Dr. Karen Stewart (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/stewart) We've all heard the term "situationship" all the time over the past few years, but what exactly does it mean? We already have "friends with benefits" and even "f-buddies", so there's no need for a new term for that. And hey, it's okay to date someone casually without rushing into commitment, too...so that's certainly not it, either. Well, as it turns out there's a pretty clear differentiator between a true "situationship" and any other kind of relationship with a woman. My first-time guest, clinical psychologist and sex therapist Dr. Karen Stewart, not only describes the "situation" clearly, she's all about the discussion regarding the good, the bad and the ugly going on there. What is "girlfriend mode", and what does it have to do with all of this? How is a climate of fear directly associated with the modern-day proliferation of situationships? What are the disastrous ways men misunderstand a woman's signals that she's indeed just up for something casual, not committed or "relationshippy"? What are the two apparently opposite reasons why we fall into situationships? How does having sex change everything, at least usually? How can something between you and a woman start out as a situationship and then evolve into something else, or vice-versa? How can we (or women) unwittingly end up in a situationship when we clearly wanted a committed relationship? And overall, what is the lens women view such arrangements through compared to us as men, and how can we navigate that? Ep 106Let The Game Come To You - SFTS106
===SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT=== What can one specific play from Super Bowl LX teach us about how to get better at meeting and interacting with women? As it turns out plenty. In this brief episode, discover the valuable habit that carries over from most team sports, and how specifically to apply to cold approach situations. What's more, I'll show you the exact response you're likely to see initially from women, as well as how they'll respond once you actually start a conversation with her. No more fumblerooskis, only first downs (and first dates) from there. Ep 498Synthetic Intimacy - MTP498
Co-Host Holly Nelson (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/holly) Think of it like aspartame is to real sugar. "Synthetic intimacy" may be sweet, but it's not the real thing. And when you get right down to it, you're not really even fooled. So why then are so many people falling for it nowadays? My first-time guest Holly Nelson is NOT a robot (she said so herself), but rather a sex therapist from Phoenix, AZ who has spent a lot of time thinking about this subject. We hit the ground running on this fast-paced discussion, talking about how "intimacy" isn't really intimate at all if it's one-sided and people are getting manipulated. How is AI already affecting our relationships with women, and what should we be watching out for both now and in the near future? Why is Claude.AI so convincing when pretending it cares about you? And why is it dangerous to "get close" to ChatGPT (even above and beyond the obvious)? In all fairness, has technology actually succeeded at connecting us...even while dividing us at the same time? There was clear evidence even at the dawn of the consumer internet that people were disengaging from each other. Why have we not done anything about that, even when it's only gotten worse over the last 30 years or so? Can an AI girlfriend actually bring some good into your life, or is any semblance of a Build-A-Bitch Workshop just a social disaster waiting to happen? Is this just for the incel community, pretty much, or will we all eventually get drawn in? It's not like we're actually out there pretending to literally fall in love with AI...are we? Will kids eventually have robot parents (or at least, full-time nanny-bots)? Hey, add it all up and there's a big difference between how we are hard-wired as humans and the limits to which technology will be able to satisfy us...especially when it comes to flat-out replacing relationships with women. Ep 105Is Small Talk Worthless? - SFTS105
===SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT=== A lot of us as men have allowed ourselves to believe that making common small talk with women when we meet them is something we have to avoid. After all, if we don't come up with something heroic to say in the moment, she'll probably lose interest quickly. Well, in this brief episode I'll not only show you why making small talk is actually the right strategy, I'll reveal why attempting some sort of "big talk" is likely to backfire spectacularly. And yes, even if you DO somehow come up with something miraculous and creative to talk to her about, I'll tell you why it's STILL likely to ruin everything ANYWAY. Hint: It has less to do with you, and more to do with her . Ep 497Dating With ADHD Or Asperger's - MTP497
Co-Host William Schroeder (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/justmind) My first time guest William Schroeder is an expert on neurodivergence not only because he is a mental health therapist, but also because he has walked that path himself. What are the challenges facing men who are ADHD or have Asperger's...especially when it comes to relating to women? More importantly, how can you overcome those challenge and thrive? Well, the first question to ask is why the term "neurodivergence" has been in the media more often in the last few years. Next, it seems like everyone's attention span is shorter since COVID. How much of neurodivergence is nature vs. nurture? And what is the difference between ADD, ADHD and Asperger's, anyway? How transparent should we be about neurodivergence with other people, say, girlfriends or even bosses? How can ADHD men excel in relationships with women? On the other hand, what if neurodivergence seems to be wrecking my chances with women? How are people affected by changes in how ADHD and Asperger's are clinically defined? I mean, it's not really a death sentence to our masculinity and ability to attract women if we're neurodivergent, is it? And regarding the term "neurodivergence" itself, is it too broad a label? How many men go undiagnosed...and what if this podcast episode itself starts making us wonder about that? And here's the kicker...how do we identify women who are neurodivergent and manage relationships with them? Ep 104Why Did She Stop Talking To Me? - SFTS104
===SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT=== Have you ever known someone who you have occasional social conversations with, but then one day--boom--crickets. What happened there? Was it you, or was it them? Chances are, neither of you was particularly at fault. In this brief episode I'll give you at least eight solid reasons why it happened. Several are specific to situations like this that might happen with women you're interested in. And yes, at least two of the others sound straight out of a Larry David plot on "Curb Your Enthusiasm". But since this is no joke when it happens, I'll also give you reliable ways to fix the situation to get you back on the right track socially. Ep 496Free Speech When Talking To Women - MTP496
Co-Host Chloe Carmichael (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/chloe) It's no secret that more of us than ever don't exactly feel as if free speech is what it used to be. It's as if we can get canceled, arrested, or even worse for saying what we really think, and that's especially worrisome when it comes to communicating with women. After all the warnings from HR, is it okay to express interest in a woman, or even talk to her at all? My first-time guest Dr. Chloe Carmichael is a clinical psychologist and USA Today bestselling author of "Can I Say That? Why Free Speech Matters and How to Use It Fearlessly". We kick things off by talking about "toxic masculinity", and the possibility of it being talked about less nowadays because the job was done (!). But have men really resigned themselves to shutting up and "staying in our lane", or have we simply rejected the whole premise altogether? I mean, what did men gain by even trying to "do better", other than women being more disgusted with us than ever? Chloe offers real-talk about how women say they want a "feminist" man, and then find themselves fantasizing about macho guys anyway...with nobody to admit it to. Meanwhile, all of this self-censorship and cancel culture are fueling social anxiety and loneliness on the part of both genders. And wait until you hear the real, actual word that finally is the female equivalent of "maschismo". What is the actual ratio of women out there who want to cancel us rather than get to know us? Ultimately, Chloe's approach reframes free speech as a core mental health issue, drawing insights that can help men articulate themselves with more confidence and authenticity in relationships, at work, and beyond. Ep 103There's Only One Perfect Pickup Line - SFTS103
>===SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT=== The quest for the perfect pickup line is one of the oldest in the world of men's dating advice. But ultimately, after all the hype settles, there's only ONE perfect pickup line. Here's the truth: No matter how cool, how funny, how smooth or how perfect your silver-tongued pickup line is, it's ALWAYS gonna come down to what you say next. And guess what? It's exactly what you should have said FIRST all along...every time you approach a woman. Ep 495Wordless Connection - MTP495
Co-Host Rob Thomas (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/robthomas) The default setting when trying to resolve dating and relationship issues with women is to talk about it, right? Well, my first-time guest Rob Thomas came to the conclusion that trying to say the right words at the right time was exhausting. Drawing from his day job as a business consultant, he figured out there are very real ways to truly increase rapport and connection without using any words at all. The next thing you know, he wrote a book about that called Wordless Connection. Importantly, its not about wordless communication, per se, but rather about full-on connection. So first off, why is it we often end up speaking a "cloud of euphemisms" when talking to our WAGs? And what can we do instead to create an almost instant connection without saying anything at all? What is the science behind the value of embracing your partner for an exact duration of time? And how does that concept apply directly to eye contact, as well? Does the saying, "watch what she does instead of listening to what she says" have anything to do with this? Is what Rob's talking about here actually a primal desire within us? After all, verbal communication is a relatively new human development. Ironically enough, can words actually distract from deeper connection? What about wordless connection in the bedroom? What is the science behind human touch that can increase your success with women immediately? Have you downloaded Sticking Points Solved? Ep 102Why Narcissistic Women Target You - SFTS102
===SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT=== Why do extremely self-centered women who don't seem to care about you and your needs at all keep ending up in your life? It's like the same relationship over and over, only with a different woman. Well, it happens to literally the best of us as men. In fact, some solid traits adjacent to the "big four" are exactly what attract narcissists. The first step to putting an end to this pattern is recognizing it's there to begin with. So if you've found this episode, you're already on the right track. But once you also know how the mind of a narcissistic woman works, you can easily understand exactly what it is about you that was so attractive to her, and then put the kibosh on toxic relationships. Then, you can make a stand against ever welcoming another woman like that into your life. Better still, you can leverage those same fantastic traits of yours to match up with a woman who is sweet, kind and treats you right for a change. Ep 494How Mature Men De-Escalate Hysterics - MTP494
Co-Host Doug Noll (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/dougnoll) Why is it that younger men get into so many more unfortunate altercations than older guys...not just with other men, but also with women? My returning guest Doug Noll is a world-class expert in de-escalating situations with angry or unreasonable people. Known for his book De-Escalate: How To Calm An Angry Person In 90 Seconds Or Less, Doug returns this time for a deep-dive into how mental and emotional maturity makes us better at calming down hysterical women, and even avoiding sticky confrontations altogether. For starters, how can it be that Doug and his wife never fight or argue? What is "affect labeling", and why is it your #1 strategy for cooling down potential altercations? How come arguments between men and women can become so hurtful so fast, and how do we prevent that? Why does Doug believe there's no such thing as "rationality", and ergo, "irrationality"? How does Stoicism enter into all of this? What genius principle has Doug identified that functions like a "yes, and...", only for emotions instead of conversations? What is Doug's foolproof strategy for getting along with a woman on first dates? Next, the one truth that can help you keep your composure even when someone is hurling extremely hurtful invective at you. And how can you be prepared to handle conflict effectively if you're blindsided by it...especially if it doesn't happen very often? What are some practical, effective statements we can use in real-life to do affect labeling on our own, when necessary? Here's another hot take from Doug: Never offer an unsolicited apology. Why not? Ep 101Does Your Type Of Woman Evolve Over Time? - SFTS101
===SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT=== We talked last time about how the woman of your dreams quite probably will be the culmination of all your favorite girlfriends. But wait...how did you arrive at what you "favor" about women to begin with? In a recent coaching conversation, it came up that our "type" might actually be established when we're VERY young...like in pre-school. Does that mean that our "inner child" pre-destined us to be with a certain type of woman some day? Well...sort of, but not exactly. Get the "bigger picture" truth in today's brief episode...and stay tuned for the surprise ending. Ep 493Emotional Vampires Suck - MTP493
Co-Host Daniel Ratner (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/ratner) On this first day of 2026, we hit the ground running with how to eliminate the WRONG people from your life this year, and from now on. Daniel Ratner is a Jewish-American coach who made Aliyah and now lives in Jerusalem. So obviously, specializing in vampires of any kind only shows he has a sense of comedic irony that would make Mel Brooks blush. But for sure, the whole weird but tragically common phenomenon is what it is, and Daniel has studied it as much as anyone. So much so that he has identified several different types of emotional vampires and described them. For starters, what's the pattern that makes so many of them narcissists? And what exactly is "covert narcissism" again, and why are they typically among the worst offenders? How do women in particular draw us in with vampirical patterns that seem "cute" at first--even attractive--only to truly wear us out over time? Can a real, actual emotional vampire really, actually love us? Why is it so many of us as men will tolerate a woman who is an emotional vampire way more than any woman would tolerate a male one in her life? (Hint: We coined the term "training and draining" there.) How do we set boundaries with emotional vampires...and is it too late after they sink their teeth in? What is Coach Ratner's acronym for figuring out who to keep in your life and who to get rid of? And why is a certain type of person the favorite target of emotional vampires? Finally, living in Israel Daniel wrote a piece over the summer called "Bomb Shelter Sex". Listen as he offers some amazing insights into what social life was like in Israel then. Ep 100The Culmination Of All Your Favorite Girlfriends - SFTS100
===SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT=== How can you know absolutely for sure that you're NOT settling for the wrong woman? Well in honor of the 100th SFTS episode, I'm tackling this all-important subject in a way you've never heard anywhere else. You know how you've heard people can keep attracting the same BAD relationship over and over, just with a different face? Well the other side of the coin is true also. You can date women who seem familiar to you, yet different, and make it a GOOD thing. And THIS is how you'll know when you're not settling. Fair warning, though...and don't let anyone tell you differently: You cannot tell if you're settling or not until you've dated enough women to know what you really like, want and prefer. And yes, women can (and will) surprise you in ways you'll never see coming. But after a while you'll start seeing a clear pattern. Shortly after that, you'll start attracting women who indeed have plenty in common. And THEN...that's when "miracles" happen. Get the whole story in this brief episode. Ep 492The Evolution Of Dating Advice - MTP492
Co-Host Emily McKay (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/) Dating and relationship advice has gone through significant changes over the last 20 years. Some of it has been good and necessary evolution, some of it downright detrimental and counter-productive. As X & Y Communications marks its 20th anniversary, we look back on the good, the bad and the ugly out there over the years since we opened our doors. First of all, what was up with men having an entire network for getting better with women back in 2005, while women pretty much only had Cosmo articles? And what happened to that "underground society of pickup artists"? What did it quietly turn into...without men even realizing it? As for women, what weird development really established a whole new world of dating advice for them? And what marketing tactic in particular revolutionized all dating advice online...before eventually setting us all back big-time? Whatever happened to all that new-agey dating advice, and the "gurus" who promoted it? Why is so much of the current "dating advice" nothing more that pure clickbait? How did text messaging, social media, dating apps, "toxic masculinity", and the #MeToo movement all play a role in the dating and relationship advice we've been given? And how have Covid and AI affected the whole mix? How have we ourselves flexed and adapted to change over the years? Most of all, how have mindsets and attitudes evolved (or de-volved?)...on the part of both men and women? Ep 99Sexual Attraction That Lasts Decades - SFTS99
===SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT=== You've heard that bit about how men's sexual value increases over time, while women's sexual value decreases over time. That's indeed a cynical trope, but how much truth is there to it? For sure, a 25-year-old guy is less likely to find a 55-year-old woman attractive, but is "sexual value" that simple? How is it that couples can remain happy and apparently in love for half a century, or more? Is it all just a ruse for the sake of "keeping up appearances"? Or could it be that attraction is still very real for them? What drives that kind of sustained attractiveness to each other for decades? Well, this brief episode contains all the answers...and the hard truth that goes along with it. Ep 491Love And Suffering - MTP491
Co-Host Dr. Anthony Silard (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/silard) My first-time guest is a man who fearlessly tackles some rough topics that others avoid. In addition to his latest book Love And Suffering, he's also the author of others with scary titles like The Myth Of Happiness and The Myth Of Friendship. So how does a guy like Dr. Anthony Silard stay sane and level-headed while immersed in this stuff? Well, the easy answer is his work probably isn't what you expect it to be. Rather than another nihilistic treatise on existentialism, he actually frames the inevitable suffering we all experience in this life as having the power to enable us to love more deeply. But he's just getting warmed up. Anthony believes "forgiveness" isn't as kind as we think it is, and judging each other is a necessary part of human existence. Anthony is also very aware that Americans in particular are feeling deep disconnection from each other. Studies show that over 70% of Americans say their friendships and relationships both personal and professional have suffered over the past several years. They attribute some of this to technology saying they feel overwhelmed with all of the online communication in their life that they withdraw from people. Others attribute this to the increase anger we see daily about us. Regardless of the cause people feel disconnected. We have simply let life happen to us and we seem adrift. Why is this? How can we pull ourselves together? Anthony says the powerful but often overlooked truth is many relationships don't fail because of incompatibility, but rather because of unforgiven pain. Whatever you do not learn to love in your life, you will repeat. As you can imagine, this episode offers a powerful new perspective on how to build healthy, long-lasting relationships with women. Ep 98I Like You - SFTS98
===Snippets From The Summit=== After a few heavy-duty topics in recent weeks, let's take a look at the lighter side. When it comes to charming women and relating to them, there is tremendous power in three little words. No, not THOSE three little words. They are similar, though: I like you. You see, saying "I love you" to a woman is a big deal. You gotta think that shiznit through before you drop it on a woman. But "I like you" is VERY different. Listen in to this brief episode as I share exactly why that's true. Not only do we drop at least as many "I like yous" here at Casa McKay as "I love yous", that habit indeed comes from a long history of knowing exactly when to say it to women on first dates. Although you can say it MUCH sooner (I hope) than "I love you", there's definitely a right time and a proper rhythm to it, for sure. Ep 490Submissive Women - MTP490
ECo-host Marian De La Croix (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/marian) "I believe every man should have his 'I Dream Of Jeannie'." Do I have your attention yet? That is a direct quote from my first time guest and self-proclaimed "happy submissive", Marian De La Croix. She believes women who embrace submission in relationships experience deeper personal growth, stronger partnerships, and genuine happiness—while the "empowered independence" narrative keeps women stuck, stressed, and unfulfilled. She and her master--who she openly refers to as such--live in Vancouver, BC and by all accounts are living the dream together. Now before you form your own mental image of Marian, realize she is smart, articulate, successful and has keen business sense. So first off, how did Marian arrive at the idea of wanting this kind of relationship? Indeed, Marian doesn't feel the relationship is abusive in any way, and in fact feels more free, capable and empowered than ever. How does she reconcile being empowered and independent as opposed to being "under" a master? Listen in as she talks about the natural leadership qualities of masculine men, and how women are indeed happier by nature when in a relationship with a guy like that. What is the exact mindset of a man AND a woman who thrive in a relationship like this? What is the relationship between men and submissive women that helps them "find their muse"? And what are the similarities between how Marian's relationship with her Master works and how my relationship with Emily works? No, Emily doesn't call me "Master", but the similarities indeed come down to how masculinity and femininity work in tandem. So why, then, does Marian take the perhaps extreme measure of literally calling her husband "Master"? Ep 97Never Act Like A Man Who Can't Get Laid - SFTS 97
===Snippets From The Summit=== Watch enough movies and TV shows and you can easily tell which kind of male character gets women and which doesn't. And yet, far too many men let their guard down and do blatantly unattractive stuff anyway. What's up with that? Do we think women either aren't noticing, or if they will they'll cut us a break? Here's the quick rundown on all actions, statements, "bro moments" and even fashion faux pas that keep us in a "dry spell". Never has there been a better time to say, "don't be that guy!" Better men get better women. Ep 489The Silent Sexual Revolution - MTP489
Co-Host Stephen Edwards (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/edwards) What's going on here when it comes to men, women and our sexual attitudes toward each other? (I say that like it's a bad thing?) My first-time guest is Dr. Stephen Edwards, a PhD in spiritual counseling and international speaker. He's also the author of The Venus Fly Trap: Sex, Lies And Repercussions. According to Stephen, we're all on a 'spectrum of insanity', whether we realize it or not. So first off, what does a Venus flytrap have to do with the silent sexual revolution? After all, that's a rough mental image. What are some sneaky and even unexpected ways women can "cloud us with beauty-vision"? What was it like when Stephen worked for Tony Robbins? What is the "silent" part of the current sexual revolution, given how much "noise" surrounds human sexuality nowadays? And why is it a "revolution"? If there is indeed a new sexual paradigm, then it will go through three distinct phases. What are they...and where are we in that process? How has the perception of repression affected sexual dynamics then vs. now? Is monogamy outdated...and causing more societal problems than it's worth? How have societal trends regarding faith affected the latest stage of sexual revolution? Why is sex usually the biggest obstacle between us and true spirituality? If deleting classic definitions of God and sexual morality has affected freedom from sexual guilt and shame, has that left us with a different problem? Does love still "conquer all" nowadays? Can it be true that particularly spiritual or "churchy" people have lazier relationships? Why would Stephen disagree that the opposite of love is fear? The bottom line is we as men need to stop being silenced when it comes to sexuality. Ep 96If All Women Are Awful - SFTS96
===Snippets From The Summit=== Granted, it's easy to allow ourselves to believe all women are atrocious and we're better off simply avoiding them. And often we can have legitimate reasons for thinking and feeling that way. But let's face it, men who've slipped into that mindset find themselves as miserable as Feminists who become man-haters. The good news is there's a clear mindset shift you can make that will not only transform how you view women, it'll actually change how they perceive you as well. It may feel difficult at first, but there is no more natural way to go...it's even embedded in our primal instincts. Better men get better women. Ep 488Dating With All Five Senses - MTP488
Co-Host Catherine Auman (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/catherine) My first-time guest Catherine Auman talks frequently about "tantric dating", which involves dating with all five senses. As men, modern technology might very well have led us to focus primarily on seeing and hearing, forsaking the other three senses. So first off, what is Tantric Dating about in general? Why is being "friends first" so common in other cultures, but basically the relationship kiss of death here in the West? What do dogs know that humans don't, when it comes to Tantra? We hear all the time how we as men are "visual" when it comes to women and attraction. Is that actually all there is to it, though? And if Tantra is all about connection, could social media and the "pandemic of loneliness" explain much of the disconnect between our five senses and our dating lives? Is it true that today's dating world actually discourages people from meeting and having interesting conversations? How weird is that? How is being "spoiled for choice", at least ostensibly, ruining our ability to discern who's right for us? What's another way to think about how taste matters in the dating world, above and beyond the obvious? And how can we as men become more sensual in general, to the delight of women? What are the ways most "normal" guys are completely missing out on the best parts of sex by rushing things? Why did we all miss the point of the movie 9 1/2 Weeks in the '80s? But then again, what do young adults know about sex that we tend to, well...forget as we get older and more jaded? Finally, is there any room in this discussion for a potential sixth sense? The answer may surprise you...and propel your sex life to new heights. Ep 95How to Succeed With Women By Accident - SFTS95
=== SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT === It used to be that the biggest hurdle between men and a successful dating life was basically approach anxiety. After all, you can't have any women in your life if you don't meet them first. But nowadays, there's ONE obstacle that looms even larger. It's so simple and basic that it might not even have occurred to you. But make no mistake, it's what keeps more men than ever from meeting women, let alone attracting them. The first step is recognizing what's going on. The next step--which is thankfully pretty basic--will make it feel as if women love and adore you more than ever before by total accident. Ep 487Women Like Me, But They Don't Love Me - MTP487
Co-Host Alex Allman (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/howtoman) My long-time friend and returning guest Alex Allman came up with a fascinating topic that deserves every man's attention. What's up with women LIKING us, but not exactly LOVING us? I mean, the first thing we might think of is lukewarm first dates and tepid text conversations. But Alex jumps right in with the reality of how even people who are in marriages together can suffer through this phenomenon. How in the world does THAT happen? Well, as it turns out it's not always about someone having "settled". In fact, it might not even be conscious. Just like I have the "big four", Alex has broken down the secrets of having a woman who is truly right for you reveal herself in real time. There are five integral components of your persona and your presence that make that happen, and he lists each one. How much can we really influence in terms of how a woman feels toward us, both in the short-term and the long-term? What role does actively choosing a woman play in making her adore you rather than simply put up with you? What does that even look like, in real-world terms? How can I go "all in" with a woman without simping? Could it be we're attempting sometimes to gain the "love" of a woman we're not even so crazy about...simply out of some weird form of desperation? How does your presence, or aura as a man influence a woman's love versus mere like? And finally, how can showing up as ruthlessly authentic and extremely honest really cause a "next level" positive response from a woman so she truly is your "ride or die chick"? Ep 94What Actually Replaced Pickup Artists? - SFTS 94
=== SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT === We all know the "underground society" of pickups artists is LONG gone. Or is it? Some say they simply moved their sentiments over to the #MGTOW or "red-pilled" movements, hoping to fly under the radar with a rebrand. But I'm not so sure about that. After all, lately I've been hit with requests to pitch you guys on "new" products that look and feel exactly like something out of 2008. Could it be there's a belief out there that the new generation of guys will respond to exactly what the last generation did? Well, I personally believe a LOT has changed out there, and with it must come a true evolution of the PUA mindset...especially when it comes to what has been known as "night game". Ep 486Is The Younger Generation Relating To Women Differently? - MTP486
Co-Host Cheryl Maida (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/cheryl) How is Gen Z influencing dating and relating going forward? Regardless of who you are, this matters because it's going to affect YOUR relationships with women from now on. My first-time guest Cheryl Maida from matchmaking.com is here to talk about all the current trends, and what we can expect in months and years to come. First off, are dating apps truly dead...and if so, what's next? And whatever happened to "hookup culture"? We haven't heard anything on that in ages. Are people really less interested in sex than ever, or just more sexually frustrated? Could it be that we really needed to go through a few decades of trial and error in order to figure out what we really want out of our dating pursuits and sex lives, let alone long-term relationships? Why are younger guys going for matchmakers nowadays? For a while there, politics were a major yardstick of compatibility. Is that still the case? Are we ever going to collectively stop doom-scrolling our smartphones and notice there's other people out there in public? Is this generation going to rediscover the art of approaching women in real life? Well, first we all might have to start with actually liking the gender we'd hope to attract again. Will Gen Z realize sooner than later that pressure on the birthrate and away from healthy male/female relationships is robbing them of something important? Assuming so, will the younger generation have to learn from their dating and relationship mistakes the same way we have? Of course they will...but how? Better men get better women. Ep 93When Women Feel Safe, But Not Attracted - SFTS93
=== SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT === What if you have absolutely no problem with women feeling safe around you, but somehow they're still not sexually attracted. Frustrating, right? Well, as it turns out, even though "making a woman feel safe and comfortable" is the linchpin of masculine/feminine polarity, there's a key component of that trait that makes women crazy over you as opposed to parking you in the dreaded "Just Be Harmless Zone". Find out exactly how that works--and what Rottweilers have to do with it--in this week's brief but powerful Snippet From The Summit. Ep 485Men Acting Like Little Boys - MTP485
Co-Host Shlomo Slatkin (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/shlomo) My first-time guest is Shlomo Slatkin. In addition to being a Rabbi in Baltimore, he's also the founder of the Marriage Restoration Project. He has a lot of valuable insights into modern manhood, our relationships with women and the missing rite of passage from boyhood to manhood in today's culture. First off, Shlomo is a man who walks the talk. He and his wife have a great relationship and are raising a beautiful family. In his daily life, Shlomo works with men who want to achieve a closer connection with the woman in their lives but are at somewhat of a loss as to how to do so. Interestingly, he believes it's not because they lack knowledge or resilience, but rather because they've outgrown the emotional survival strategies they learned as boys. Shlomo is all about unlearning those outdated patterns and showing up with clarity, presence and emotional honesty. So how do we as men take ownership of our emotions instead of shaming or blaming? Could it be that we often feel threatened in relationships, even though we're supposed to be the man of the house? How can we avoid being either a petulant child or a passive wuss? Where is the "balance" in a relationship with a woman that keeps our power and dignity intact as men, while honoring and protecting those we love? In a world where far too many men are running around like 40-year-old little boys who never grew up, Shlomo's message is just the kick in the pants we need nowadays. Have you discovered VAMANOS yet? Ep 92The Faceless Herd Does Not Attract Women - SFTS92
=== SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT === Have you ever developed some sort of weird medical symptom and made the mistake of going to WebMD to see what's wrong with you? You know exactly what happens. You end up sure you're dying of some horrible disease...every time. But meanwhile, we as men will also read surveys and studies about women and attraction that leave us convinced we are exactly the opposite of who women want. Gentlemen, this has to stop. Ep 484How To Handle A Woman's Time Of The Month - MTP484
Co-Host Ada Gore (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/gore) My first-time guest Ada Gore is a brave--and terrific--woman. Despite angels themselves fearing to tread upon today's topic, she boldly goes there. What you're about to get, gentlemen, is the definitive guide to understanding women's monthly cycle. Now, I know what you're saying...what does this have to do with me? Well, if you want to successfully relate to women and navigate your relationship with her like a champion, this is one of those details you have GOT to get right. The problem is, according to Ada many women don't even understand what's going on there, let alone men. So first off, what qualifies Ada to be the woman to tell us all of this? Next, what difficulties did she and her husband have as a couple before they wrapped their heads around the issue? Ada teaches something called the Four Inner Seasons framework. What's up with that and how does it give crystal clarity to the topic? And what about us as men? Do we have "seasons" of our own that we go through? (Hey, don't knock it 'til you try it.) On another note, what exactly is PMS, anyway, and how can we make it suck less for us as men? What actually are the biggest mistakes we as men make when coping with women's "time of the month"? And how are women not off the hook here (no excuses!) Next, what's the "women work different" framework? And what has happened over the last century or so to, if anything, decrease how well men and women understand each other? And most of all, what's up with all the '60s music references? Ep 90Dating Is Not Charity Work - SFTS91
=== SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT === I get it. We all want to be a woman's hero. But should we really be her straight-up savior? And do we really owe that to women we've just met, or aren't even dating, in particular? The "captain save-a-ho" scenario has been talked about for years in pickup artist circles. As cynical a concept as it is, it's rooted in hard truth every man should recognize. Unfortunately, our logic tends to go out the window when "clouded by beauty-vision". Here's how to recognize when you're falling into the trap, and how to be the great guy you are without sacrificing your dignity OR your hard-earned resources. And yes, here's the proper mindset to help you rise above the entire topic itself, once and for all. Ep 483Social Networking Gets Women - MTP483
Co-Host George Dubec (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/networker) What if you could leverage your entire social network to find women to date? Or even your future wife? We're not talking about your aunt Gertrude setting you up with her friend's "nice" daughter here, for sure. My first-time guest George Dubec has developed what he calls the Referral Matchmaking System, and it's like being a "connector" on steroids. While talking about that is way too much fun in and of itself, we kick off the episode with war stories from when George was a classic ladies' man, long before the PUA movement was even thought about. He had the Saturday Night Fever clothes and the Smokey And The Bandit car. How much of his "old school" strategy still applies today? More than you think. For example, wait until you hear his answer to women showing up on dates with a bunch of endless Q & A. And what about chemistry? George has an interesting definition for that, as far as male/female interaction is concerned. Next, George talks about what he calls "The Love List". And it looks like we just coined "The Wingman Workshop" right after that. Next, we talk about the weirdest version of "approach anxiety" that's very real, but which nobody ever talks about...and yes, it has everything to do with social networking. And who exactly should we let "network" us into a date? There's a clear answer to that one. === SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT === Where you get advice on women, dating, relationships and being a better man matters. How do you decide what to listen to? Well, over the years, I've had my fair share of emails challenging whether I'm the right guy to sit in this chair or not. As my life has changed, so have the emails. Ultimately, track record matters...but there's something that matters EVEN more. Ep 482What If You're Disappointed? - MTP482
Co-Host Emily McKay (https://www.deservewhatyouwant.com) Well, here's the first thing you can figure out, just from the title: Emily and I are obviously not disappointed enough in each other to avoid such a touchy topic. BUT...maybe that's a clue why this relational disappointment thing never gets talked about much. So what are we actually covering here? I mean, isn't it unrealistic to get into a relationship thinking everything is always going to be perfect and ideal? That brings up the concept of "macro-disappointments" vs. "micro-disappointments". And what about other couple's Facebook highlight reels that only show the shiny, happy stuff? Is that driving unreasonable disappointment on the part of the rest of us? Is there really such thing as "the seven-year itch", and if so is it more about disappointment or boredom? And hey, wait a minute. Isn't boredom disappointing? Does long-term disappointment usually start right at the beginning of a relationship? Why is that? And what about this business of "spicing up a relationship"? How does that work to ward off potential disappointment? Why is being each other's best friend a magic elixir to cure disappointment? What if what causes disappointment is legitimately beyond the control of the disappointing partner? What if a partner is intentionally disappointing, and expecting to get away with it? Why does being "nice" disappoint WAGs? How do couples put their relationship at blatant risk for disappointment? Why is comfort the enemy of marriage excitement? Ep 89You Would Already Be In Jail - SFTS89
=== SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT === Today's topic is an unpleasant one, but this has to be said. Too may of us as men are letting women get away with a vicious double-standard. Just because she's a woman doesn't mean she should be allowed to treat you poorly in ways no man would ever get away with. And she's certainly not above the law. What are the situations where this is especially devastating to men? And here's an even better question: How did we get to the point where we let today's empowered women do all of this to us without any penalty whatsoever? Ep 481Self-Aware Masculinity - MTP481
Co-Host Dr. D. Ivan "Doc" Young (mountaintoppodcast.com/ivan) We're all realize we're men biologically, but how are we at manifesting the masculinity within us? Yeah, on the surface it's a question that feels like it shouldn't have to be asked. But my guest, "Doc" Young is The Reality Check Doctor, and his practice as a behavioral neuroscientist often focuses on empowering men to be more self-aware in their masculinity. Right off the bat, Doc launches into the mindset of true masculinity versus merely being "macho". How did we get swindled into thinking that was what it's all about, anyway? He's got some ideas you've probably never considered before What's the real reason why there's really no female equivalent of "macho"? What's the real reason why under-evolved men don't attract women? If you're dating a "trophy woman", you may be making her feel NO differently than if you were still living at home with your mommy. Here's why... And what does Doc mean when he says a lot of men are looking for an external solution to an internal problem? What are the advantages of being a truly self-aware man, especially when it comes to developing traits that women are attracted to? How much of self-awareness comes from within as opposed to environmental factors around us? Next, discover why self-awareness isn't only about masculinity, it's about maturity. How do you become the respected patriarch of your entire family? How do our past experiences impact our current level of self-awareness, and how can we take back control? How is comparing ourselves to others the enemy of that? And finally, what does self-awareness have to do with your quality of live, and even your very longevity itself? Get more out of your success with women. Check out https://mountaintoppodcast.com === HELP US SEND THE MESSAGE TO GREAT MEN EVERYWHERE === The show is now available as a VIDEO version on YouTube. Ep 88The Siri Effect - SFTS88
=== SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT === The phenomenon I'm talking about today isn't new. But the Internet, then social media, virtual assistants and now AI have caused it to be more obvious. It goes like this...when shielded by the "anonymity of the Internet", many humans have a tendency to, well...start talking to people in YouTube comment sections like they're not really human on the other side of the computer. Or worse, the "buffer zone" offered by the Internet empowers them to say things they wouldn't have the balls to say to anyone IRL. And when smartphones--and Siri--came along, the downward spiral continued. People started treating a simulated human horribly. Now, with so much AI, we find ourselves talking to soulless robots more than red-blooded humans sometimes. Where is all of this transhumanism really taking us...and what's the big deal, anyway? And what does this have to do with getting better with women? As it turns out, everything. Get in on my Substack channel at: https://mountaintoppodcast.com/substack

Ep 480Attraction, Your Nervous System, And You
Co-Host Owen Marcus (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/meld) My first-time guest Owen Marcus is a proponent of Polyvagal Theory, which is about how our body and brain work together to respond to stress, be that everyday annoyances or more significant trauma. It has a huge impact on how we as men carry ourselves physically. So you can easily figure out how understanding this theory and the somatic awareness that comes from it would make you more attractive to women. After all, when you gain mastery over your body in the way Owen talks about, your physiology is less likely to, well...sort of betray you. That may sound complex, but Owen describes it all in a way that not only makes perfect sense, but its practical and actionable. For example, this concept finally makes the concept of "emotional availability" more tangible, and even influences how we find ourselves being "Mr. Nice Guy". What is "co-regulation", and why is that social/physical phenomenon central to the whole theory? How does understanding Polyvagal Theory assist us greatly in the quest to make women feel safer and more comfortable with us? What are some physical manifestations of us not being in tune with really feeling what our bodies are telling us? (HINT: A lot of guys make themselves look like dorks without even realizing it.) What does Polyvagal Theory have to do with either you OR her feeling something is just a bit "off"? And how does it finally help us understand what it really means to "relax"? Next, there's fight or flight, or something WAY worse...and we as men do it ALL the time. Meanwhile, how does Polyvagal Theory contribute to being more charismatic? How can it help us not only mesmerize and attract women, but make more male friends as well? Ep 87When You Run Into Your Ex - SFTS87
=== SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT === It's the nightmare scenario. You're out and about, minding you own business...and then BOOM, there she is. Your ex. What do you say? What do you do? Is it useless to try to avoid her? What if she's with another guy...or worse, you're with another girl? Does it matter who broke up with whom? Does it matter if you were on decent terms vs. it being a knock down, drag out dramafest? Well, in this brief episode we'll check off all the boxes covering lots of scenarios, including what to do if you know in advance you're likely to see your ex somewhere. https://mountaintoppodcast.com/substack === HELP US SEND THE MESSAGE TO GREAT MEN EVERYWHERE === Snippets From The Summit are all about completely original ideas for success with women that also happen to be extemely effective...and actionable. Ep 479When Your Therapist Just Makes Things Worse - MTP479
Co-Host Amanda Johnson (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/amanda) Well, we're finally going there. My first-time guest is a licensed counselor in the traditional sense who also does psychedelic-assisted therapy. She's willing to throw down the truth about how therapy can leave men worse than before they ever went...and how that's a problem. Have you ever been dragged to relationship or even marriage therapy, only to feel singled-out, disempowered and maybe a little beaten-up afterward...presumably by a "female-friendly" therapy environment that basically mirrors the family law system? What effect does that have upon us as men at a deeper level, and how do we even recognize it, let alone do something about it? And then, we and/or our significant other get online and find our "echo chamber" of allegedly like-minded people, leaving us to believe we're in the right and the "adversary" is in the wrong every time. Is therapy actually contributing to the divide between the sexes rather than helping us form a healthier alliance together as men and women? Shockingly, Amanda claims that almost nobody in her practice ever comes to her acknowledging their own need for behavioral change. How is this "blame game" habit of victimhood affecting male/female relationships? What is a suitable alternative to therapy for men? (No, it's not only coaching.) I mean, after all, a man is only gonna get "scapegoated" for so long before he's got his guard up about therapy...especially when most therapists are women and might not seem sympathetic to men's reasons for coming to them to begin with, right? So what's the deal? If we're going to be better men and do better with women, are we just better off going it alone, or what? Stay tuned for the surprising answers... Ep 86Warm Up Cold Approaches - SFTS86
=== SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT === Check it out...there's a weird mental trick we play on ourselves when we think of "cold approaching" women. It causes us to completely overlook something so obvious, yet so important to achieving success in nearly anything we do in life. And although you wouldn't think to enter into any kind of "performance" such as athletics, singing on stage, etc. without taking this step, I've never even heard it brought up before when it comes to meeting and attracting women. Yeah, well...that all stops here. I'll blow the lid off of what every man should do before even THINKING about approaching a desirable woman, along with the steps to take to make sure you get it right...the first time and every time. Oh, and it also applies to other situations like job interviews, etc. https://mountaintoppodcast.com/substack === HELP US SEND THE MESSAGE TO GREAT MEN EVERYWHERE === Snippets From The Summit are all about completely original ideas for success with women that also happen to be extemely effective...and actionable. Ep 478Comedy Builds Confidence - MTP478
Co-Host Clifford Myers (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/myers) My first-time guest and new friend Clifford Myers is more than just a comedian. He's a self-proclaimed "comedy practioner". That means he doesn't just tell jokes, he works with individuals and even large companies to help people use comedy to do better in every aspect of their lives. This makes him the perfect guy to talk about how comedy and humor can help skyrocket our confidence and success with women. This far-ranging (and yes, funny) discussion hits the ground running, talking about how most guys try to use humor in a misguided and indeed self-serving way with women, which tends to backfire. After all, that's not very confidence-inspiring, now is it? Then we turn our attention toward how we as men in particular tend to take ourselves too seriously in general, and how that can be disastrous to our chances with women. What's the difference between being funny and having a sense of humor? Since we're talking about comedy here, do we have to put on some sort of stage act every time we're with a woman in order to make her laugh? As a weird thought experiment, what if we were to go into character when making women laugh, like Emo Phillips or Gilbert Gottfried? Obviously that wouldn't work, but why? How important is self-awareness and "reading the room" to all of this? What are the exact kinds of humor that really demonstrate confidence and attract women? And what other kinds of comedy work even better after you've already connected with a woman? How do we as men fall into the "no, but..." trap? And what's the most important element of comedy, especially if you're coming off as a confident man? Overall, a great show replete with TONS of comedy references throughout. Ep 85Another Major Advantage With Women - SFTS85
=== SNIPPETS FROM THE SUMMIT === Two weeks ago I hypothetically offered to grant you every advantage over me except ONE when it comes to attracting women and relating to them. Well, several of you had a pretty good comeback for that. You hit me with another possible #1 advantage that's not easy to argue with. However, after some deliberation, I'm still reserving the same advantage for myself after all. For sure, the one you suggested is HUGE, and without it you're going to suffer with women big time. But in the end, the advantage I originally suggested will ultimately overcome it. Here's why. https://mountaintoppodcast.com/substack === HELP US SEND THE MESSAGE TO GREAT MEN EVERYWHERE === Snippets From The Summit are all about completely original ideas for success with women that also happen to be extemely effective...and actionable.
