The North Sydney Bears, a defunct memory of rugby league's once die-hard middle class. They were scrapped from the comp in 1999 - as the NRL made it clear there was no room for all these Sydney clubs that cannot win. But a fire still burns. In the hearts and souls of the latent fan base that remember the good times, the near-wins and a rowdy hill at North Sydney oval.
