Ep 139139, Part 1 - Skeleton Crew Episode 4 - Can't Say I Remember No At Attin
We love the introduction to our new locale, and the continuation of the mystery is both satisfying and intriguing. We do focus some of the discussion around a new conflict that deals (or doesn't deal) with some surprisingly dark themes. Is the general they meet a true villain, or a morally gray character? Let's jump in!Editor's Note - I'm trying a different style of editing to improve the flow of the episodes, but it takes me around twice as long to edit the episodes. In order to still get an episode out this morning I had to split this one into two parts. Please let me know if you think the quality is improved enough that the extra effort is worth it!BECOME A PATRON: https://www.patreon.com/massivebreakdownpodcastsCHAT SERVER: https://discord.gg/C44PeM5RSf

Ep 138138 - Skeleton Crew Episode 3 - Very Interesting, As an Astrogation Problem
Back again for our third episode in less than seven days, this time with some slightly differing opinions on how the show has progressed. While Merc finds the episode to be one of the best Star Wars live action episodes he's seen, Kutch is a bit less impressed. There's even a debate on whether or not Kh'ymm looks too much like an owl from Harry Potter. Let's jump in!BECOME A PATRON: https://www.patreon.com/massivebreakdownpodcastsCHAT SERVER: https://discord.gg/C44PeM5RSf

Ep 137137 - Skeleton Crew Episode 2 - Way, Way Out Past the Barrier
We continue our analysis of Skeleton Crew with the much shorter episode two. While Mercules takes issue with the characterization of Wim as "suicidally naive", Kutch appreciates the incredible worldbuilding that went into Borgo as a new location and the introduction of our "Jedi". Ep 136136 - Skeleton Crew Episode 1 - This Could Be a Real Adventure
After a long wait it is finally here, Episode 1 of Skeleton Crew! The series premiere turned out to be an amazing introduction to this series, the vibes are immaculate and it is pretty match nailing everything we were hoping for from the show so far. Ep 135135 - LEGO Star Wars - Rebuild the Galaxy Episodes 3 and 4
We return with the surprisingly poignant conclusion to the LEGO miniseries, with a message about accepting change that a lot of adult Star Wars fans could probably stand to listen to. Ep 134134 - LEGO Star Wars - Rebuild the Galaxy Episodes 1 and 2
Trying something a little different this week, with the first half of the LEGO Star Wars mini-series: Rebuild the Galaxy! We were both somewhat surprised by how honestly good this show ended up being, so let's jump in!BECOME A PATRON: https://www.patreon.com/massivebreakdownpodcastsCHAT SERVER: https://discord.gg/C44PeM5RSf

Ep 133133 - Chronological Clone Wars - R2 Come Home (221) and Lethal Trackdown (222)
We wrap up Season 2 of our Chronological Clone Wars watch through with the finale of the Boba Fett arc, with a fun take on a Lassi episode to start and then we're joined once again by everyone's favorite pirate Hondo to close it out. Let's jump in!BECOME A PATRON: https://www.patreon.com/massivebreakdownpodcastsCHAT SERVER: https://discord.gg/C44PeM5RSf

Ep 132132 - Chronological Clone Wars - Death Trap (220)
Let's chat about or time at Space Con San Antonio, and break down the first episode of the Season 2 finale arc, with an introduction to a new version of Boba Fett that we haven't gotten to spend much time with yet. Ep 131131 - Chronological Clone Wars - The Mandalore Plot (212), Voyage of Temptation (213), and Duchess of Mandalor (214)
We have finally arrived at one of the strongest arcs in all of the Clone Wars early seasons, with a new introduction to Mandalore and its culture that will have long lasting impacts on new Star Wars canon. Unlike the previous episode, almost every character or setting introduced here matters, and we have a blast learning about them all. Let's jump in!BECOME A PATRON: https://www.patreon.com/massivebreakdownpodcastsCHAT SERVER: https://discord.gg/C44PeM5RSf

Ep 130130 - Chronological Clone Wars - Lightsaber Lost (211)
We return with a true standalone episode which we were surprised to learn came directly from a George Lucas pitch. Not our favorite, but a fun little reference to Stray Dogs, a 1949 Kurosawa film about a police officer who loses his revolver. Let's jump in!BECOME A PATRON: https://www.patreon.com/massivebreakdownpodcastsCHAT SERVER: https://discord.gg/C44PeM5RSf

Ep 129129 - Chronological Clone Wars - Grievous Intrigue (209) and The Deserter (210)
We continue our watch-through with a very typical Clone Wars episode with some fun lightsaber fights and exciting battles, followed by half of an episode which discusses the moral quandary with using Clones, with the other half being a continuation of the less than exciting chase for Grievous. We end up wishing that the focus had been entirely on the Clones, and the question of whether they are allowed to have free-will, but it does lay some interesting groundwork for later seasons of Clone Wars and The Bad Batch. Let's jump in!BECOME A PATRON: https://www.patreon.com/massivebreakdownpodcastsCHAT SERVER: https://discord.gg/C44PeM5RSf

Ep 128128 - Chronological Clone Wars - Legacy of Terror (207) and Brain Invaders (208)
We finally end our five episode "Second Battle of Geonosis" arc with a two-part horror story line, which we find to be one of the most unique stories told in all of Clone Wars. Somehow managing to delightfully toe the line between scary and fun, it leaves both of us wishing we had more horror themes in Star Wars content. Let's jump in!BECOME A PATRON: https://www.patreon.com/massivebreakdownpodcastsCHAT SERVER: https://discord.gg/C44PeM5RSf

Ep 127127 - Chronological Clone Wars - Landing at Point Rain (205) and Weapons Factory (206)
We continue on, a week delayed, with the middle part of our 5-part Geonosis arc. Standing strong on their own, Landing at Point Rain channels the best parts of Band of Brothers or Saving Private Ryan without becoming too adult, and Weapons Factory takes a hard look at the master-padawan relationship between Ahsoka and Anakin, in a way that is strongly reminiscent of some scenes we have seen recently in Ahsoka's own show. Let's jump in!BECOME A PATRON: https://www.patreon.com/massivebreakdownpodcastsCHAT SERVER: https://discord.gg/C44PeM5RSf

Ep 126126 - Chronological Clone Wars - Senate Spy (204)
A surprisingly decent episode that feels like the first real attempt at fleshing out Anakin and Padme's relationship in the Clone Wars, and also serves as a bridge to the Geonosis arc. We were surprised to learn that this episode was actually referencing a Hitchcock movie, Notorious, from 1946, which helps to explain why the story ends so strongly. Ep 125125 - Chronological Clone Wars - Bounty Hunters (217), The Zillo Beast (218), and The Zillo Beast Strikes Back (219)
The chronological watch through provides us with a big bonus early in the second season, with a Seven Samurai tribute episode immediately followed by a Godzilla/King Kong arc with the Zillo Beast episodes. These episodes are some of our early favorites, and we have a blast revisiting them. Let's jump in!BECOME A PATRON: https://www.patreon.com/massivebreakdownpodcastsCHAT SERVER: https://discord.gg/C44PeM5RSf

Ep 124124 - Chronological Clone Wars - Holocron Heist (201), Cargo of Doom (202), and Children of the Force (203)
After an extended break for Bad Batch and The Acolyte we finally return to our chronological watch through of the Clone Wars series. Season 2 starts off with a bang with the introduction of one of our favorite characters, Cad Bane, and the arc is an overall big step up from Season 1's limited production capabilities. Ep 123123 - Post-D23 Star Wars News: Skeleton Crew, Andor S2, Mando Movie, and Lego's Rebuild the Galaxy
Disney's annual D23 celebration has wrapped up, and we have a handful of "first looks" at the next four upcoming Star Wars projects. Skeleton Crew and Lego's Rebuild the Galaxy got full trailers, and we got to see sneak peeks of Andor S2 and the Mandalorian movie too! Unfortunately no new projects were announced, but let's jump in and talk about what we learned!BECOME A PATRON: https://www.patreon.com/massivebreakdownpodcastsCHAT SERVER: https://discord.gg/C44PeM5RSf

Ep 122122 - Pre-D23 Star Wars Skeleton Crew News and Upcoming Projects Summary
On the heels of the conclusion of The Acolyte and just before Disney's slate of D23 news, we thought we'd take a minute to get everyone up to speed on where all of the upcoming Star Wars TV and film projects are at. We discuss everything we know so far about Skeleton Crew and chat about what we know we have to look forward to over the next couple years. Once D23 happens, we'll revisit this info to see what has changed, and we'll cover all the new info too! Ep 120120 - The Acolyte Episode 8: The Acolyte
We've finally reached the Season 1 finale, and somehow they managed to pull it off, wrapping up the story and doing it with not a single wasted minute! Episode 8 is a fantastic conclusion to the first season, and they left just enough interesting storylines left open to make us hungry for a second. Let's jump in!BECOME A PATRON: https://www.patreon.com/massivebreakdownpodcastCHAT SERVER: https://discord.gg/2cFF5EkmNy

Ep 119119 - The Acolyte Episode 7: Choice
Maybe one of our longest individual episodes yet, "Choice" has a ton to talk about and really sparks a lot of good conversation around the best way to consume the flashbacks in service to the story. It also successfully pulls off what is very difficult to do in Star Wars, which is painting characters in shades of grey. Let's jump in!BECOME A PATRON: https://www.patreon.com/massivebreakdownpodcastCHAT SERVER: https://discord.gg/2cFF5EkmNy

Ep 118118 - The Acolyte Episode 6: Teach/Corrupt
We're back with episode 6 which is, in our opinion, one of the best "middle of an arc" episodes we've gotten in a Star Wars show to this point. Well written, with good character development, the only flaw is that it seemingly asks more questions than it gives answers, which we find to be a very risky proposition this late in the season. Ep 117117, Part 2 - The Acolyte Episode 5: Night
And what a stunning follow-up this episode ended up being! Maybe one of the most jaw-dropping fight scenes we have ever seen in live action Star Wars, and an incredible performance from [spoiler] in their newly revealed role. After this episode, we cannot wait to see where the story goes next! Ep 117117, Part 1 - The Acolyte Episode 4: Day
A return to form for The Acolyte, our only criticism of Episode 4 is that we wish there was a little bit more of it. However, the closing minutes of the episode are some of the best Star Wars we've gotten yet, and we're excited to talk about where it leads! Ep 116116 - The Acolyte Episode 3: Destiny
For the first time, we feel like The Acolyte stumbles a bit. Not because of any canon-breaking issues, which in reality are non-issues blown massively out of proportion, but because of an odd tonal shift with an incomplete feeling episode that doesn't add enough to the current mysteries to be worth the full diversion from the core story line. Let's jump in!BECOME A PATRON: https://www.patreon.com/massivebreakdownpodcastDESTINY 2 PODS:PVP: https://destiny-massive-breakdowns.captivate.fm/listenPVE: https://pve-podcast-versus-enemies.captivate.fm/listenCHAT SERVER: https://discord.gg/TheyfeQHOME PAGE: https://destinymassivebreakdowns.com

Ep 115115 - The Acolyte Episode 2: Revenge/Justice
Episode 2 picks up right where Episode 1 left off, making us happy they released them together. With a strong showing from the central cast, some fun introductions to a couple new characters, and some smart mystery-setting alongside upending typical tropes of the genre, this episode gets bonus points from us! Ep 114114 - The Acolyte Episode 1: Lost/Found
Finally here to talk about the first episode of The Acolyte, and we have a lot to discuss! Overall, we really liked this introduction and thing it does a good job of setting up an interesting story in a unique time frame for Star Wars TV. Ep 113113 - Tales of the Empire: Barriss Offee
Oh boy do we have some thoughts on these episodes. A strong start, and emotional finish, and a confusing bridge between the two. Ep 112112 - Tales of the Empire: Morgan Elsbeth
We get into some good old fashioned discussion on the newly released Tales of the Empire, which gives us a whole bunch of interesting backstory on one of the coolest characters to come from the Mando-verse, Morgan Elsbeth! Ep 111111 - The Bad Batch Episodes 46 and 47: Flash Strike and The Cavalry Has Arrived
With two episodes that really feel like they should have been combined into one singular finale, we have finally reached the end of The Bad Batch. While Flash Strike left at least one of us wanting a bit more, the finale was a beautiful ending and it wraps up the story in a strong and heartfelt way. Let's jump in!BECOME A PATRON: https://www.patreon.com/massivebreakdownpodcastDESTINY 2 PODS:PVP: https://destiny-massive-breakdowns.captivate.fm/listenPVE: https://pve-podcast-versus-enemies.captivate.fm/listenCHAT SERVER: https://discord.gg/TheyfeQHOME PAGE: https://destinymassivebreakdowns.com

Ep 110110 - The Bad Batch Episode 45: Into the Breach
Really feeling the spaced out release schedule now with these episodes, Into the Breach is a solid story but feels incomplete without the surrounding episodes. On a rewatch paired with Juggernaut and Flash Strike it fits right in, but how does it stand up on its own? Let's jump in!BECOME A PATRON: https://www.patreon.com/massivebreakdownpodcastDESTINY 2 PODS:PVP: https://destiny-massive-breakdowns.captivate.fm/listenPVE: https://pve-podcast-versus-enemies.captivate.fm/listenCHAT SERVER: https://discord.gg/TheyfeQHOME PAGE: https://destinymassivebreakdowns.com

Ep 109109 - The Bad Batch Episodes 43 and 44: Point of No Return and Juggernaut
With these two episodes we experience a bit of tonal whiplash following so close on the heels of the excellent and very dark Identity Crisis, but there's some good stuff to be found. Point of No Return is a solidly decent episode, although at times we wish it had pushed the stakes a little higher, and Juggernaut is a return to typical Bad Batch fare for better or worse, though it has some good humor and excellent animation. Let's jump in!BECOME A PATRON: https://www.patreon.com/massivebreakdownpodcastDESTINY 2 PODS:PVP: https://destiny-massive-breakdowns.captivate.fm/listenPVE: https://pve-podcast-versus-enemies.captivate.fm/listenCHAT SERVER: https://discord.gg/TheyfeQHOME PAGE: https://destinymassivebreakdowns.com

Ep 108108 - The Bad Batch Episode 42: Identity Crisis
Out of nowhere comes Identity Crisis, an episode which quickly has become of one our favorite episodes in the entire series. It's probably most comparable to Twin Suns in Rebels as a one-off with a strong message and intense story telling. Ep 107107 - The Bad Batch Episode 41: The Harbinger
A strong return to form for the Bad Batch with a returning character that we all knew was going to show up. Asajj Ventress returning is everything we hoped it would be, and it's great to see her back in top form. Ep 106106 - The Bad Batch Episode 40: Bad Territory
The show takes a bit of an odd departure in this episode, splitting up into A and B plots where the A plot features an old bounty hunter friend but unfortunately doesn't do a lot to move the plot forward or to world build, while the B plot features more fun times with Omega and Crosshair that we wish could have gotten more of the focus. Let's jump in!BECOME A PATRON: https://www.patreon.com/massivebreakdownpodcastDESTINY 2 PODS:PVP: https://destiny-massive-breakdowns.captivate.fm/listenPVE: https://pve-podcast-versus-enemies.captivate.fm/listenCHAT SERVER: https://discord.gg/TheyfeQHOME PAGE: https://destinymassivebreakdowns.com

Ep 105105 - The Bad Batch Episodes 38 and 39: Infiltration and Extraction
A great two parter has us very excited for what is to come next, but the lack of filler this season has left us feeling like we're racing towards the end. Let's jump in!BECOME A PATRON: https://www.patreon.com/massivebreakdownpodcastDESTINY 2 PODS:PVP: https://destiny-massive-breakdowns.captivate.fm/listenPVE: https://pve-podcast-versus-enemies.captivate.fm/listenCHAT SERVER: https://discord.gg/TheyfeQHOME PAGE: https://destinymassivebreakdowns.com

Ep 104104 - The Bad Batch Episode 37: The Return
The showrunners seem to have developed the much appreciated ability to take an episode than in past seasons would have been disparaged as "filler" and give it just enough core plot movement to stave off that label. The majority of the focus of this episode is on the interpersonal relationships between members of the Batch, with some interesting parallels to Dune thrown in, and that's the strength of the show that has sometimes been missing from past episodes focused on the core characters. Ep 103103 - The Bad Batch Episodes 35 and 36: Shadows of Tantiss and A Different Approach
The first quarter of Bad Batch's third season has concluded, and we may be off to one of the strongest starts of any season of Star Wars animated TV. Continuing to feel more like Andor than any other show, a standalone fourth episode successfully navigates the treacherous waters that come from following up the excellent third episode. Ep 102102 - The Bad Batch Episodes 33 and 34: Confined and Paths Unknown
The first few episodes of Season 3 start off strong, with three good episodes in a row. We get status quo updates on both of the major story lines from last season, with Hunter and Wrecker searching for Omega and Omega dealing with being a prisoner of the insidious Dr. Hemlock. Ep 100100 - Chronological Clone Wars -Storm Over Ryloth (119), Innocents of Ryloth (120), and Liberty on Ryloth (121)
We finally make it to the chronological end of Season 1, and to our most looked forward to arc! Impressively, it lives up to expectations and helps the season to end on a very high note. This will be the last Chronological Clone Wars episode for some time, as starting next week we'll be back with The Bad Batch, catching up on the second season in preparation for the third. Ep 9999 - Chronological Clone Wars - Blue Shadow Virus (117) and Mystery of a Thousand Moons (118)
Coming in with low expectations may have helped this two-parter, as both of us felt the episodes were better than we expected. For the most part, these episodes helped us to refocus on how Clone Wars is perceived and remember that first and foremost, it's a show for the kids. Ep 9898 - Chronological Clone Wars - Trespass (115)
We have just the one standalone episode to discuss today, but it is an interesting one! A fun mix of Star Trek TNG and horror vibes for the first half of the episode, followed by some accelerated character growth for a side character who ends up having a much larger role in the future. Let's jump in!BECOME A PATRON: https://www.patreon.com/massivebreakdownpodcastDESTINY 2 PODS:PVP: https://destiny-massive-breakdowns.captivate.fm/listenPVE: https://pve-podcast-versus-enemies.captivate.fm/listenCHAT SERVER: https://discord.gg/TheyfeQHOME PAGE: https://destinymassivebreakdowns.com

Ep 9797 - Chronological Clone Wars - Jedi Crash (113) and Defenders of Peace (114)
What we initially thought was going to be a forgettable two episode arc turns out to be a very solid adventure, with interesting new characters and a fun pair of morals. The first wonders about the difference between caring and becoming attached, and the second asking the question of which is right: fighting evil with violence or pacifism at all costs. Ep 9696 - Chronological Clone Wars - Dooku Captured (111) and The Gungan General (112)
Our first smaller, two episode arc of season one, and it's a decent one. Not the strongest by any stretch, but with some fun dynamics between big characters and the introduction of a new character who turns out to be one of our long term favorites. And there's even a Jar Jar episode that isn't spoiled by his antics! Let's dive in!BECOME A PATRON: https://www.patreon.com/massivebreakdownpodcastDESTINY 2 PODS:PVP: https://destiny-massive-breakdowns.captivate.fm/listenPVE: https://pve-podcast-versus-enemies.captivate.fm/listenCHAT SERVER: https://discord.gg/TheyfeQHOME PAGE: https://destinymassivebreakdowns.com

Ep 9595 - Chronological Clone Wars - Bombad Jedi (108), Cloak of Darkness (109), and Lair of Grievous (110)
We're back after our long holiday hiatus! We came into this arc with low expectations at first, and ended up pleasantly surprised! In particular the third episode of the arc is very good considering how early it is in the first season. Let's jump in!BECOME A PATRON: https://www.patreon.com/massivebreakdownpodcastDESTINY 2 PODS:PVP: https://destiny-massive-breakdowns.captivate.fm/listenPVE: https://pve-podcast-versus-enemies.captivate.fm/listenCHAT SERVER: https://discord.gg/TheyfeQHOME PAGE: https://destinymassivebreakdowns.com

Ep 9494 - Chronological Clone Wars - Rookies (105), Downfall of a Droid (106), and Duel of the Droids (107)
We start off strong with one of our favorite standalone episodes of Season 1, Rookies, before cratering in the middle with Downfall of a Droid, an episode which truly could have just been a narration blurb insert in the third episode. Duel of the Droids actually seems to work better as a standalone episode than it does as the second part of the arc. Ep 9393 - Chronological Clone Wars - Rising Malevolence (102), Shadow of Malevolence (103), and Destroy Malevolence (104)
We arrive at a stretch of Season 1 where the chronological order and the release order finally line up with one of the strongest three-part arcs of early Clone Wars. The Malevolence arc starts of strong with some surprisingly dark scenes, and manages to keep a high level of quality throughout parts two and three, making us wish that this instead of the Rotta arc had been chosen for the premier movie event.
