“Give A Little Bit,” the opening track on Supertramp’s 1977 album, Even In The Quietest Moments….is a song that appeals to our better angels, with an idealistic message of unity and generosity. Written by Roger Hodgson when he was still a teenager, the song went on to become one of many worldwide hits for the band, has been used to represent charities ranging from UNICEF to The Red Cross, and even ended up being a princess’s favorite song.
